  • theregoesthebride.com?
  • Hmm.. it seems like all you would need to do is copy and paste a few of the sentances you have in your post--and Viola! you have a short and simply note:we've decided to postpone our wedding, since weddings aren 't recession proof unfortunatly so we're gonna have it at TBD date

  • Due to unfortunate circumstances it is with a heavy heart that we must postpone our wedding day.  We appreciate all of the love and support, and will be very pleased to contact you when a future wedding date has been confirmed.
  • "The wedding of Tenelly and Tenelly's FI will not be happening at this time"  is probably all you really need to say.Did you send out invites already?
  • Some questions first: 1. When is your wedding? 2. Have you sent out save-the-dates? 3. Invites? 4. Do you have a lot of out-of-town guests?
  • Although I don't really understand the situation... If you want to be married, it can be done cheaply.  However, I'm generally not opposed to people waiting to marry if they're not ready to jump right in..."Guests, we regret to inform you that the wedding of Nelly and Belly will be postponed.  we will keep you updated when an alternative date is selected. Thanks,Nelly and Belly"
  • Is having a JOP wedding an option?  I would have hated to postpone my wedding because of the stupid economy.  I probably would have just scaled it way down.  (Unless of course there are other reasons for postponing other than money.)

  • the situation is my job is laying off and my fiance is in construction so its a bit slow-- pretty much no job is certain right now our wedding came up to be 12k but we didnt want to continue to put a bunch of $ towards it and god forbids one of us lost our jobs.. so we were just gonna post pone it to a future date.. thanks for the timely responses ladies! i think i'm going to go with Stackeye210 help i really love it..sorry if it was confusing.. i'm trying to multitask and i had customers coming in and out and i had to tend to them.. Thank bunches! xo

  • Instead of "Unfortunate circumstances" maybe go with "unforseen circumstances". That sounds much better.
  • Yea i know we can do courthouse option, its just not an option for me personally no offense to others who chose that option.. Yea i was thinking the same rearrange some wordings.. i mean i dont want it to sound like its been CANCELLED CANCELLED its just being postponed to a future date thats not set yet..
  • I agree that unfortunate sounds like one of you called it off, etc. How about, "Due to unforeseen circumstances, the T and B wedding has been postponed. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause you, and we appreciate your understanding. We look forward to celebrating with you in the future!"
  • I've had two friends postpone their weddings recently with no letter going out. They just made phone calls. When a new date was set, they resent STDs with the new info on it.
  • Did you send out STDs?  If you didn't and haven't sent out invites yet either, you don't have to send out anything saying it's been postponed.
