Future Hubbys Name...

Hello, and Congrats to all!I have a question. To some of you, it may seem like a silly one, but it is very important to me. My fiances legal name is Dennis, but since he was 2 he has gone by "Tiger". Everyone, I mean, everyone knows him as Tiger. I never, ever, ever call him Dennis. The only people that call him by Dennis are his Dad and his boss (and people he works with). But none of them will be attending the wedding (except his dad of course). Of course we will say Dennis during the ceremony, but what about the reception and all of the invitations and EVERYTHING that our names will be on. I feel awkward having Dennis instead of Tiger. What does everyone think? Thanks for the opinions!!

could you write it as Dennis "Tiger" Lastname?Or just ask him what he wants, since it's his name and all....

Dennis "Tiger" LastName for the invites. Tiger & MHBALLINGER for whateer else is printed.

My legal name is Joella, my middle name is Jaime, which is the name I go by. My invites say Joella Jaime Lastname. I think if I were you, I'd put Dennis "Tiger" Lastname. I think at the reception it is perfectly acceptable to call him Tiger.

This makes me wonder what my friend Skip (not his real name, but everyone calls him that) is going to do if and when he gets married. Knowing him, he'd insist that the invitations said Skip Lastname.

I have a friend named Gator (he goes by Gator) and it was on his wedding stuff. No one calls him by his real name, so I wouldn't worry about it. Just use Tiger and call it a day!

I'm legally Elizabeth, but go by Beth.  Our invites will say Elizabeth Anne XXXX, but everything else, including our vows, will say Beth.  That's because it's what makes ME comfortable & it's my name.  Ask him what he wants.  Then do THAT.
