I HATE sweeping/vacuuming and we are about to move to a place with hardwood floors Was wondering if the Roomba was worth it...Anyone have one? Which model? Love it? Hate it? TIA

I registered for one because it sounded awesome.  I think it will also be a great tool for entertaining my dog.

FSIL is giving us hers because her dog attacks it whenever she runs it, but she says it works well as a maintenance vacuum . (Which would be good for us because we have two cats and have to vacuum practically every day.)

I don't know which model we had... Love it, but never got it fixed after it broke. We could only turn it on in one room at a time. If I ever had the "extra" cash, I'd buy one for myself. (I live with my parents and the one we had is theirs, it broke, they didn't care to have it fixed.)

I have one, his name is Mr. Snuggles.Its good for every day sweeping, but it doesn't work as well as a vacuum.  Its also kind of loud.

My friend got one and brought it back the next week. She has hard wood floors everywhere, so no carpet for it to get hung up on.

Oh, SNL makes me laugh so.I don't have one, but desperately do.  With three cats, it sucks vacuuming every other day or so, which I never do because it sucks.  I was going to register for one, but I might just break down and get one myself.

Ours is Mr Roboto. We use it all teh time on hard wood and rugs. It works fine but not perfect and can only do one floor of teh house a day so I alternate. You just push the button and leave the house. The only thing is there is a spot in the first floor bathroom that it gets stuck so I close the bathroom door and it does all the other 1st floor rooms then goes back to its base. the 2nd floor it goes until he gets tired and then shuts off

I was looking at adding one to our BB&B registry but still can't figure out which would be the best for our hardwood.  I might go with the "Scooba" the floor washing one.

If you are looking for a deal on it and have a lot of patience I would check out woot.com they have a deal a day and Roombas seem to pop up quite a bit.

eh, i found that it was constantly stopping and asking me to clean its brushes.  i was doing that so often it was like, how is this saving me time? i might as well just pull out the regular vacuum.my floors were clean though.
