...You've just gotten into Boston after a long cross-country flight, and it's most likely evening. What would you most like to find in your welcome bag at the hotel? Besides bottled water, directions, and maps: A: - Individual packets of Lindt hot cocoa - A package of mini-toasts - A small jar of Trader Joe's Eggplant and Garlic Spread B: - Individual packets of Lindt hot cocoa - Mini-caramel wafers (tiny waffles w/caramel sandwiched between them) - A couple apples to go w/the caramel wafers (it is Fall in New England after all) C: - Individual packets of Lindt hot cocoa - Trader Joe's Trail Mix bars - Chocolate covered nuts and/or fruit As you can see, I'm a Trader Joe whore (spinoff from mwhitson's post, haha). All the above items except for the hot cocoa are found there. TIA!

A or B. Doesn't TJ's have some apple cider too? That might be festive.

Jealous.  I love TJ's but we don't have them here. I would go with C.  A seems kind of random and I wouldn't really know what to do with garlic spread.  B is my second choice, but I would be totally excited about C because I love all of those things.

honestly, I wouldn't care at all.  I wouldn't use any of it.A note from you and your husband would probably be more appreciated than that stuff....

B.I'd be allergic to C b/c of the nuts. A sounds good too, but the eggplant/garlic and hot chocolate combination isn't very complimentary. A would be good with beer or wine or something.

A!  I love Trader Joe's, but the one in Manhattan is such a mob scene I can't bear to go.  There's one out in Queens I need to try to trek to one of these days- I hear it's not too public-transit accessible.  Booooo.  Come on, TJ, expand!

Shanwalk, we'll definitely have a note as well, I forgot to mention.I thought about people not using any of the stuff, but that's okay. I figure some people might be glad to have something to munch on after traveling all day, and my family are all big eaters so they probably won't care what's in there. :)The hot cocoa doesn't go with everything, but it can be used later or taken home and I have to include it now because, well, I've already gotten them! :)Thanks for the feedback guys!

Depends on what kind of wedding you're having. A seems more "upscale" than the other choices; B and C are fun too but more casual. I'm assuming you're sure that their hotel rooms have something they can make hot water in?

Sarah, I agree, more chocolate would be great. I could actually combine some things to make a sampler bag of sweet and savory. I've only got like 12 bags total to make, so I could throw a li'l something extra in there. Pink, sorry to hear about TJ... I'm lucky enough to have lived next to one regardless of where I move. It's busy, but not as busy as the one near you.
