A new low in snacking

Not too much food in the house.  We were away for a week, I've been too lazy to go shopping so we've been livng on takeout and whatever is in the freezer in the garage. My Mom brought over a bag of baby carrots for herself to snack on earlier, knowing I have no food, and I'm eating the rest of them.  Dipped in BBQ sauce, because we don't have any ranch.  FI is completely grossed out and won't stay in the room while I'm eating them.I think i need to go grocery shopping tomorrow.

Re: A new low in snacking

  • When I was a kid, I would dip carrots in sugar. Your snack sounds much better than that.
  • I went through a peanut butter phase, trying to convince myself that peanut butter works with anything.  Not so good now that I think about it.

  • Peanut butter does work with carrots.  We are out of it though.  Seriously, its gonna be one of those really big kind of grocery shopping trips.  I haven't picked up much besides soda, coffee, milk, cold cuts and bread in a really long time.  I'm even out of sugar.  I should see if there is a delivery service around here.  Probably not.
  • My initial response was "ew" and I'm sticking with it. Get thee to a grocery store!
  • that is pretty low, but at least carrots are healthy.

  • thanks for reminding me to take the BBQ chicken out of the oven
  • It could get much worse. At least you're not eating spoonfuls of peanut butter. Or shoving a square of chocolate and a macadamia nut in your mouth at once. (not naming anyone who might have engaged in said activities... )
  • TheSun, that would be better than the pizza and Chinese delivery guys knowing my voice over the phone.  Don't even have to give them our address anymore.  Just say, "Hi, its Lesleigh!" and have dinner 30 mins later.  So sad.
  • Haha, the indian store at our old place knew us like that! They took us around their kitchen to show us how they made the food, and when I'd phone and say it was Melissa, they'd reply, 'our Melissa?", haha. Actually, I went in there the other day after 6 months or so and they were so very excited to see me! It was rather sweet. They just got married (in India- 800 guest wedding!) and were telling me all about it and asking how we were. Needless to say, moving away from indian shop = sad day (and weight loss!)
  • Ive been eating key lime pie all day (my favorite)! I need to be eating veggies like you, considering I need to fit in to my dress in a month! Also carrots and bbq sauce dont sound that bad actually...
