Please send your prayers...

One of my co-workers (from another department) who also happens to be the son of DH's executive sous chef is in a coma and life support.  He was helping his dad with some yard work this morning.  He was on a set of stairs and was leaning on a banister when it gave way sending him falling down to the ground and then down a steep grade. He has a lot of head trauma. He is being airlifted to Puerto Rico as we speak.   It's so sad.  Please send you prayers for Keshawn and his family.

What differentiates an average host and a great host is anticipating unexpressed needs and wants of their guests.  Just because the want/need is not expressed, doesn't mean it wouldn't be appreciated.

  • certainly will! Why not Miami?  Or has PR improved it's medical facilities
  • Done.  I really hope he will be ok.  Did I meet him when we were there?  What area does he work in?
  • good question.  My a$$ would be going to Miami also.  But all the information has been 3rd hand, so I have know idea.  Maybe he is not stable enough for a 3 hour flight? DH can't get a hold of K.  K is just so upset because he made his son do the work today when his son did not want to do it.

  • E I think you met Keith the exec sous (DH's #2 guy), but not the son.  He works in banquets.

  • Yes, we did, remember he brought some of the pates out with Mr USVI and introduced him.  When you said his number two, that was how I remembered after.  That is really so sad.  I am sure if they air lifted him, it would be to a good hospital.  To have an amenity like helicopter landing, it has to be good.
  • Erm, *plates, not pates.
  • Awww sending thoughts his way :(

  • Definitely keeping him in my prayers.  Keep us posted Lynda.
  • thanks for your prayers. I'm worried about DH right now.  He had his wisdom teeth out today (all 4), but has not had a moments rest because of work.  Now he has to go in tomorrow morning when he really needs to be resting.
