Adorable? Overpriced? Both?

We weren't even going to have favors originally, but seeing these changed my mind. But they are $10-$12 per. So, in your opinion (if you are inclined to give it), are these: 1) Worth the splurge 2) Cute but overpriced - possible to find same thing for cheaper 3) Not that great etcThanks!

I think #2. They are really cute, but that's A LOT for cookies. And, I find, that a lot of the time the really fancy cookies like that don't taste that good. You could order a sample and if they're delicious then I might vote for #1.

your badge says you're a budget bride.  these favors are NOT budget friendly in any shape way or form unless you're only giving them to your bridal party. However, you could make them yourself.  That's what I did and they were amazing.

They look dry and tasteless, therefore not anywhere near worth $2 a piece.  So, I'll go with 2/3.  I'm sure you can find something cheaper and better tasting.

Are you in NYC since it is an NYC baker?  If you are, forget that and have Vosges mini cakes done.  We gave them for our AHR reception and everyone loved them.  You're already spending a lot, it might as well be nice.

Thanks for links to cheaper versions of these - very helpful. We are trying to stick to a small budget, but I do want to allow myself a couple of small splurges. Also, Vosges mini cakes: these are 1-person cakes for $60 each???? I very much hope I misunderstood something.

Because we bought twenty five of them, it was more like thirty a cake.  Couples got them but there were a few single guests, yours was 10-12 so I didn't think 15 was so much for what you did.

Make them yourself. I have a friend who does cookies for wedding favors - butter cookies with butter cream icing. They'll freeze for up to one month...Way cheaper, but still cute

Cookies are so easy to make, you can buy shaped cookie cutters and roll ivory fondant icing, then pipe the details on.  It won't cost you more than $0.50 per cookie! I would definitely NOT splurge on something like that.  If you want to splurge on something, make it the food or bar.  $10-12 for one of those cookies is just insane.

We used Bittersweet Pastry Shop - www.bittersweetpastry.com - in Chicago for bridal shower favors instead of the wedding because of the cost. The cookies were like $4.50 each, but they matched the bride's colors on the wedding dress ribbon and customized the flowers to her colors. They were the absolute highlight of the shower and no on left theirs behind! The groom's sister recommended this bakery and I would recommend them to anyone. They were absolutely fabulous!!!
