I think it is too, but I just... maybe it's because I've never worked anywhere that cared about its employees, but it shocks me that they're so, well, generous.  They also give you 2 weeks extra vacation for the wedding.  Which gives him a total 10 weeks vacay this year.

Holy cow! The extra $ and the extra vacation are awesome!!! My BIL is German and when he and my sister lived over there, he had TONS of time off.  It was crazy!  They had days of for soccer games, Man's Day, and all kinds of other holidays. Gotta love their vacation schedule!

He's been working there for almost 2 years now, and you'd think we would be getting used to it but that's definitely not happening. ha.  And yeah.  10 weeks.  Keep in mind that 2 of it is mandatory for the Christmas and New Year holidays.  FI has already used everything he can-- haha.  We said before we didn't know how to use it all.  We've certainly figured it out!

You do raise a valid point amoro. Weve discussed moving to belgium, but we have no idea what wede do for work so were reserving that as what we will do if we ever have a lot of extra money floating around. Its nice to dream though.

Why Belgium?Yes, typically, FI has 6 weeks for whatever, and 2 for Christmas and New Year.  The extra 2 is just for getting married.

Buttaflai, but weird I just meant that you have to learn an entirely different culture and language, and a lot of little things you would have never thought about until it happens.  Like today, when we had our annual boiler inspection and I couldn't communicate with the guy because I just... don't have the right vocabulary for it.

I wish we got "wedding days" , luckily I will be with the company 5yrs next year, so I will get 3wks of vaca, which will help for the wedding/honeymoon

From what ive read, english is spoken quite a bit in belgium. Its mostly french and german, but there are a lot of english speaking people there. We figure it would be easier than moving to a country where english isnt spoken at all.

That's awesome Amoro!  My company gave us $500 as a wedding gift.  Or wait maybe it was $300, I don't remember.  It was really nice.Then my office teamed up and gave us like $250 out of their own pocket.  Then I realized how awesome the oil and gas industry really is!
