Amoro's post reminded me of this:Mr. P does some work on the side to make some extra money.  He did a job for a man that works for the same company as me, but I don't know him personally.  Apparently Mr. P does such good work, this man continues to bring us his work.  Over the weekend when Mr. P met up with him to get paid, he wrote us a $100 check as a wedding gift!  I thought that was so nice!!What have you experienced that made you realize how nice some people can be?

I volunteered 4 hours yesterday serving the daily meal at the local soup kitchen.  Despite their circumstances, and the presence of far more challenges than I currently experience, the recipients of the meal were kind, gracious, and very appreciative of our being there to help.

I had a neighbourhood shower with another bride-to-be, and didn't expect any gifts, just thought it would be a lovely afternoon tea with the neighbours I grew up with. Some of them I didn't even know (moved to the street since I moved 2 years ago), some had lived on the street my whole life.They pooled together, and gave each of us well over $900. I was SHOCKED and overwhelmed. I cried and cried and cried. They all just wanted us to start our married lives off on the right foot. I will never forget their kind words, cards, or generousity.
