Save the Dates

Good morning!  I ordered save the dates yesterday, and they should be in toward the end of November.  I plan on sending them out around March or so.  My question is, is March too early for a New Year's Eve wedding?  Also, does the entire guest list get a save the date? Most of my family lives in my hometown (2 hours away) but FI's family is kind of scattered.Thanks in advance for your help!

I think you're good to send them out in March, roughly 6-9 months prior is acceptable. I'm sending STD's to everyone - OOT guests and IT guests.

I would think since it's a holiday you may want to send them out even sooner.  But March is definitely not too early.

That's probably a good time frame, since you have some scattered family.  Mine went out with Christmas cards for August 1 wedding.  Didn't send to everyone in-town, as I wasn't sure about the venue capacity and guest list that early on.

Cougarette, when would you recommend sending them out?

I'm thinking January or early February.  That gives people time to plan for travel expenses, etc.  Travel over the holidays can be expensive.

We are sending ours at Christmas for an August wedding. We are sending to all family and some guests. We won't send or give to people who are on the list but could change, like co-workers etc.
