I think the samoa earthquake was 9.0. Very big. Cew- thats crazy about your son..poor thing. In one week I had 3 dreams that all came true it was freaky

I think we all too often just don't trust our gut. I have tons of stories that make the hair on my arms stand up because they are not only coincidental, but undeniably intuitive. I made choices that saved me or protected me, and when I go against my gut, bad things happen. From the popular, good looking boy that I just didn't feel right about who attacked me on our first date, to the time my sister and I were playing in a tree in my front yard and for some reason we both decided we needed to go inside RIGHT THEN, just as a car careened out of a curve crashing into that tree when we got 1/2 way through the yard. It happens, and I think it happens more often than we allow. I've learned to trust my gut, and if that makes me nuts or causes me to miss out on some things, then I'm cool with that! Thank GOD me or my little sister didn't call the other one crazy for wanting to go inside for no reason.

Bec - that kind of stuff happens to me all the time.  When my phone rings and it's my Mom, I know it's her before I ever look at the phone.  Last time I was out of town for work, I went up the elevator to my room and at the last second this man got on the elevator too and didn't push a button.  So I got off the elevator and he got off too.  My room was way down two corridors so I started walking toward my room and I just had this feeling that I HAD to turn around and not let that guy follow me.  I pretended I forgot something, looked in my purse or whatever, and turned around and got back on the elevator and went back down to the lobby.  I never saw or heard him go into a room.  I have no idea if anything would have happened, but there was no way in hell I was going to ignore that feeling that I needed to get out of there.

Yes Dani! These feelings could be ridiculous, but at what cost do you want to find out? I know I have "feelings" about every person I meet, and I can tell you within 1 minute if we will get along or if I shouldn't trust someone or if we'll be friends for life. Kids can do that too. Watch them. Kids and Dogs will let you know immediately if someone is a good match for them as a playmate or caregiver, or if they don't like someone for whatever reason. They don't have the social skills to mask their intuition out of courtesy. It's amazing to me.

8.0 is a HUGE earthquake. We hardly ever have anything that big out here in California. The Loma Prieta in '89 was 7.1 (as far as I remember) and it dig major, major damage collapsing freeways and such. The one in LA a few years later I believe was slightly bigger. I think the earthquakes are bigger in the South Pacific and possibly do more damage because the smaller towns are not earthquake retrofitted.Cew I believe I am some sort of Old Soul as well. I definitely am closer to the veil (as my friend calls it) than most people I know. I hate looking into mirrors at nighttime when there aren't any lights on because I'm completely convinced that it won't be ME looking back, but something from the other side looking at me instead. And my mom's side of the family has a history of being "in tune" with each other which makes it really hard to play team card games and such. We had to make a rule for playing card games and Pictionary that certain people are not allowed to be teamed up together anymore because they don't really have to talk to know what the other one is thinking. Fuucking creepy.
