I found these cabins on http://www.thequietplace.com/index.html however there are almost NO reviews on these places online.. Has anyone ever heard of them/been to them?

I have not (and I've lived in Buffalo and Ithaca). Are you thinking of a destination wedding, honeymoon, vacation...?The area code is 585, which is Rochester, so I would image these are VERY far west in the finger lakes. 607 is the central NY area code for most of the FL region, I believe. Though these are probably located near many of the wineries in that area.

I live within an hour of each of those cabins, so I've never stayed in them, but I can say the area is stunning.  If you have any questions about the area, let me know.

Never heard of them but I saw your other post about Lake George or Lake Placid for a honeymoon so I'm assuming you're looking for a honeymoon spot?  My wedding is in Lake George and I've been to Lake Placid a bunch of times. What kind of stuff do you want to do on your honeymoon?  Will you be flying or driving there?  Budget friendly or skies the limit?  I may be able to help with some reccs.

I am from Rochester and have never heard of it either. However I can attest to the area. My family owns a lake house in Penn Yan on Seneca Lake, and we love the Finger Lakes.Most of these appear to be on Canandaigua Lake, closer to Rochester (app 40 min).The Finger Lakes region is great - very quiet, tons of Wine Tasting Tours, Artisan/Amish craft fairs,  small town feel. None of these appear to be directly on the water, and you can rent cabins right on the lake if you want.

We are looking into renting a cabin/cottage/whatever up there for our honeymoon.  Were looking really just to get away, do some hiking, visit some shops, just relax.  WE're pretty open to the "area", just looking for something remote and quiet.  Were also considering vermont, if anyone has some great recommendations

Budget friendly, and we will be driving there.  We would love to visit some wineries if there are some in the area!

I would reccomend Lake Placid because to me it's a great combo of things to do, nature and romance, but it's the furthest drive (from PA, right?) so maybe you can split up the trip and hit the wineries in the Fingerlakes for a day or two?  It can be pretty pricey depending on the time of year.  Lake George you can get a pretty good deal in the off season but the downside is there's not much to do in the off season there.  I don't know so much about the Fingerlakes.

I was at Bully Hill Winery several years back, which I know is closer to Rochester. I recommend it.In California we have buses or private vans that will drive you to 3-4 wineries in a day. Maybe there's something like that in the finger lakes.

Oh, Saranac Lake is really nice. It's up in the Adirondacks, sort of near Lake Placid. My dad goes there at least twice a year.

Schaal, Interesting, isn't it?  I had no idea, either. OP, If you're interesting in checking out the Finger Lakes wineries, there are some really helpful websites out there.  You can buy a $30 pass for a weekend and it grants you access to something like 45 wineries, as well as tastings at each.  You could also book a winery tour for 2.  If you wants recs for the area page me.  I'd be happy to help.

My mother grew up in Canandaigua. My grandparents and uncle still live there. It is so beautiful and just a great community. FI and I went to Riesling Wine festival there this past summer. I can ask my family if they know of these specific spots.
