Where would I find this?

So, the idea I had for our guestbook was for a scrapbook with paper pages (not ones that were covered in plastic) where we would attach photos of us and from around at other places, and have people sign the pages.  Well, I've been all over the place, and I can't find a book that has only paper pages, and not plastic.  Anyone have ideas?

You don't have a scrapbooking specialty store anywhere nearby?  Otherwise, I can only assume you've tried Michaels, Target, etc?

No, we don't have a specialty store.  I've looked at the craft stores we have here, but all I could find were at Michaels, and it was way more than I wanted to spend.

It is not exactly what you are talking about, but a girl on my local (last year) used this site. She had a polaroid camera and a book. They had someone take the polaroids of the guests and put it into a page. Then the guest would write a message to the B&G. Maybe this company would have the pages you are talking about? Do you have a Hobby Lobby near by?  They have spiral bound scrap books that are just the paper, not the sheet protectors.  They aren't very big, page wise, though.  Not sure what size you are going for...

I made a book. Mine was through Picaboo, but Walgreens and walmart do them too. You just upload the photos you want to use, leave some white space around them, and then have the book printed.It's around $20, usually. If you want some help, let me know, I'd be happy to!

How about a plain old artist's sketchbook?

Ooh, you know what would be pretty is a bound journal! Or, what about blowing the photos you want to use up to a 5x7 or 8x10 and having the people sign them directly? You could later put them into a post-bound album or bind them with something like a spiral bind.I wish I was close to help!

She bought a regular scrapbook, took the plastic thingies out and bought some major heavy weight scrapbook paper and punched holes on the scrapbook paper using a single puncher.Yep, that's what I did. You know what Vogt, I like the idea of a bound journal.  It would be way huge, but definitely do-able!Buttaflai, you are so crafty.

Barnes and Nobel has some cute ones. And you could leave a few blank pages for people to write notes. Also, you could add to the back of it and fill it up. Anniversaries, births of children (you could keep it in your hospital room for people to write notes in), etc. It could be an awesome book. The other idea i had for mine was to take a coffee table book (maybe one from Italy for you guys, or a Michigan one to take back), and have people sign that. Not AS personal, but still really awesome.

Ring_pop, I was thinking of an artist's sketchbook, too; but their cover's are so "unpretty." You could take the pages out with an exacto knife after the fact and make them into a book, I suppose, or get a bigger spiral bound one. The closest ones to "books" they have I can recall are black cloth bound. That's what we used for dream journals in my art class when I was in college, back in the stone age....

You can have just about anything spiral bound at kinkos or office max or staples.So, if you have some pictures you want to use, or you can just go to hobby lobby and get some cardstock and cut it to the right size, and have everything spiral bound. Or, you can get linen paper (resume paper) and have that spiral bound and make your own scrapbook on that kind of paper. People will still be able to write easily, but it shouldn't bleed.

I'm going to vote searching for "blank guest book" on etsy.  Or even "photo guest book."  We got ours from seller kateblocher, and it was fabulous quality.  It's basically like a blank book.  We used ours for the photobooth pictures, but it would definitely work for what you're talking about too.
