Would you take yours home?

My fiance and I are thinking about having our tables named after bands/musicians (i.e. Elvis, The Eagles, Pink Floyd, etc) and having the escort cards/favors for each person be a cd of their table's band's music.  We would also put a sign at each table saying something like "Now that you've found your seat, please feel free to trade with other guests if you would rather have another CD".  I know most people say that non-edible favors are left, but I thought a CD would be more fun.  Would you guys take or leave yours?

Clever idea. If I liked the band, I'd keep it. Only concern--it wouldn't fit in my purse, so hopefully it'd fit in FI's jacket pocket.  If not, they'd be left on the tables until people leave, so just make sure the servers don't clear them.

I think it's an ok idea, but personally I'm not a big CD fan anymore, I use my iPod, even in my car.

I'd take it. But I think the note is unnecessary--it's pretty obvious that you can trade if you want.

Sure, if I liked them - and the ones you listed would be on that list.I still buy cd's and even buy music online.

If I liked the music ... and had a purse that would fit a CD, because if I didn't put it away right away, I'd probably forget it ... which usually, at a wedding, I would not. So there's an excellent chance I would have every intention of taking it home and just completely forget to. I'm a bit of a space cadet sometimes, though.

I'd take it if I liked the band and didn't already have that CD/music.

I might take it if it was a band I liked, but otherwise, it would probably be left behind. I always forget favors unless I eat them at the table. Which was a little awkward when that one couple tried to give us a coaster as a favor.
