Anyone from St.Louis?

Taking a weekend trip there, any suggestions on places or things to see?  We will be staying downtown, not far from the arch.TIA

Re: Anyone from St.Louis?

  • Pick me, pick me!  The City Museum is always fun. Forest Park has lots of fun things to do (and are free).  Budweiser tour.  There are a lot of haunted houses/hay rides and such around, but I honestly don't know where at this point. There are also several pumpkin patches that have some fun stuff to do there, if you're into that sort of thing.  Rambauch's is one that comes to mind; it's further out though. Um...that's all I got off the top of my head, but I'm sure the other STL gals would be able to help out more. I'm not actually from St. Louis; I just live here now. Hope you find something fun!
  • My friend owns a boutique there called Tantrum.  She has really cute clothes and rain boots.  That's all I know about St. Louis.

  • thanks for the effort dani : )   BTW why is it so freaking cold out...I really hope we don't have a winter like last year.
  • Definitely the City Museum, it's like a playground for adults!  Also hit up Schlafly Brewery, for microbrewed beer, if you like that kind of stuff. (it's a little ways down the street from the museum)  Forest Park is good, but be sure to bring a light coat, it's chilly up here!  There are also a lot of wineries around St. Louis if you want to take a day trip.  The Delmar Loop is fun too for bar and music, try Fitz's for fresh brewed root beer and burgers, Blueberry Hill for drinks a  music.
  • I am from STL so if you need more info, ask away.
  • I live here :)I'm sure I'm repeating others but here is my general "to do" list for OOT guests:- The Arch - Anheuser-Busch brewery tour- Soulard Farmers Market- St. Louis Zoo with lunch at The Boathouse in Forest Park- City Museum- both the art and history museums are interesting and free- Missouri Botanical Gardens- Ted Drewes for frozen custard- Crown Candy kitchen (only during the day!)- St. Louis Blues are playing now and their games are fun- St. Louis Rams are terrible but if they are playing a team you like the dome is pretty cool- Central West End is a fun neighborhood to walk around (pretty houses and cute shops) go to Dressel's for Welsh rare bit and homemade chips
  • Thank you ladies for all the suggestions
  • I am also from St. Louis. The St. Louis Science Center is a great place to go and they have a big Omnimax theater also.  The Delmar Loop is a fun place to walk around.
