Ceremony/Reception spots in Queens?

I'm hoping to have the ceremony and reception in one location, and I would love to stick near Astoria in Queens.  Any ideas of venues or restaurants that aren't too expensive but would have the room?  Ideally a dinner (buffet style) for about 100.  Thanks!

What's your budget for the reception (food/drink/site)?

Not in Astoria, but I performed at a wedding in the Queens Botanical Gardens in Flushing and it was gorgeous.  Outdoor, tented wedding.

    Those are good suggestions!  Thanks!

Money-wise, I'm trying to keep it as low as possible, but in the city that is hard!!  That is why I am looking for someplace that is "ready to go" - already has the set-up to deal with weddings, or even a restaurant that wouldn't take much addition/transformation.

i am booked at Cavo in astoria for next year.  It would have to be a weekend daytime wedding though and you would have the whole place to yourself. The garden is perfect for the ceremony and the restaurant works for the reception.  Menu's are on the website and cheapest i could find =$48/person for buffet style greek food, and $18/person for 5 hour open bar! The place is also gorgeous so you would save on decorations.

Hello and Congratulations on your marriage!  I am considering Cavo and am wondering how your experience was there, if you do not mind letting me know.

    Thank you for your assistance!
