Looking for modern caligrapher who isn't expensive..or I put them through the printer...

Hi Ladies
I am trying to find a caligrapher with a modern/not to "scripty" type of font for my wedding invitations.  I can ship the envelopes to them so I'm not as concerned with where they are located as much as I am with spending $1 or less per envelope and them being done quickly.  I've been on Etsy and Craigslist and the ones I like are $3/envelope and the others are either too much script or not nice at all.  I am also considering running the envelopes through the printer.  What do you think?  Too informal?  It's a night wedding and not black tie but relatively formal.

Thanks for your help!!!!!

I used Michele Clarke for my place cards she was really reasonable, I would contact her.  calligraphybymichele@verizon.net, (718) 967-3559, http://calligraphybymichele.blogspot.com/

I used Tampa Calligraphy for my invitations which is digital printing, they did a great job and were less than a dollar an envelope though if I had known about michele when I was printing envelopes I probably would have gone with her.  There's somehing about hand calligraphy

Try Carmela! melsinkwell@comcast.net. She was $1.15 per invitation set (outer envelope, return address, and RSVP envelope), which was the cheapest I found.

Just in case you are considering the printer thing, we printed the addresses on clear labels and it looked just fine...

I completely agree with sjn! We printed on clear labels with a pretty font and called it a day. Easy, stress free and free. The way i look at it, when i get an invite i dont even look at the envelope, it goes right in the garbage. Wasted money.

Ditto Michele Clark.  She can do many different types of fonts, is super easy to work with (you mail everything back and forth) and very inexpensive.

Take a look at Inkspun Calligraphy - they do laser printing on your envelopes.  It's a good compromise between hand and doing the computer thing yourself.
