Good Morning Gals!

Re: Good Morning Gals!

  • I'm trying to figure out how I'm going to sit through a whole day of classes when I'm flying out to see FI tomorrow. I'm already starting to get butterflies, and I'm still 28 hours away from my flight! Sigh.

Wouldn't it be nice to live together in the kind of world where we belong?
  • Aww, that's so great that you get to see him soon! I am relaxing this morning, then going to bake some cookies to help me focus on something not wedding related - my parents come in this evening, then we all head up for the rehearsal and dinner tomorrow - wedding is 2 days away!
  • That's so exciting kdc!  I can't look at your bio -- is it just my computer, or is it broken? :( Sarah, I'm glad you get to see FI!  Mine comes home from school today too.
  • Yay! That's exciting! Baking sounds like a good and delicious way to relax.

  • I'm tired. I need to start getting into bed earlier. I had a full week off of school where I got lazy.

  • Morning... I have the day off.  Doing laundry and stuff.   fun times.Tonight is the Phillies game, so I might go out for that.

  • Thanks Kate - it opens fine for me, but it hasn't been updated in forever so there's only a few things there.
  • Im... tired. Im always tired though. Cold and tired. I wish I didnt have to work today.
  • Nebb, just tell everyone to kiss it and stay home :)
  • I dont get sick days :( all that will get me is a smaller paycheque. My husband gets to sleep in today for the second day in a row, so unfair.
  • Working... I came in to yet another major project for my boss, so now I have 4 to finish for him, and my coworker emailed me overnight to biitch about the work he tried to pass off to me not being done.  It's been a long week and I'm super ready for it to be over.

And betrothed, I'm disgusted with most of the comments that you have posted. I don't think I've ever read such judgmental comments in my life. I'm so lucky that the girls I speak to on theknot are nothing like you...I would've never come on here for ADVICE if I would've encountered a big a bitch as you. I genuinely feel awful for your children or your future children, and I think it would be irresponsible of YOU not to invest in their future therapy sessions starting now. Because trust me when I tell you honey, they're gonna need it. ~jcaruncho2010

  • Nebb - I'm so surprised people still do not have sick days.  You would think with H1N1 spreading so quickly employers would see the benefits of their employees having sick days and not risk the entire office shutting down.

  • Aww nebb that sucks - make him do something nice for you with his luxury of sleeping in!
  • Youre right lynda. I dont know if its something I should talk with my boss about or not. I havnt gotten sick yet, bit if I do and happen to make the other person I work with (or vice versa) we would be out of commission since him and I are the only people IN the office.
  • Good morning.I started some chili in the slow cooker this morning so I am just looking forward to leaving work. Funny how that works.
  • Morning! kdc how exciting that your wedding is around the corner! I only have five more working days before I'm off for mine. SO excited!Nebb, I like the new pic better than the old Don Draper pic. Mostly because I think I'm obsessed with that dress she's wearing though.
  • Good Morning all!  Sarah, I'm excited for you!!! :)  I hope you have a wonderful time with FI.
  • Good morning, kdc! I'm great aside from the fact that the tension in the office I share with grosscoworker could be cut with a knife right about now.

  • Good morning! Congrats on being so close to the big day. I can't wait to see your pictures. I'm here at work. Don't want to be. Ben had a meltdown at daycare this morning and now I feel guilty for everything ever. Did I mention I don't want to be at work?
  • Aw cew meltdown is no good, major cuteness in the sig pic though!
  • Good morning. I'm still sick and blaming the bastards that come to work while sick for getting me sick. If you're sick, STAY THE FUUCK HOME.

  • Thanks vally! I hope you're not mad at me for changing my present.
  • Aw crap I just realized that, well I can forgive you... this time.

  • You can use your photo shop skills to make me another present by photoshopping your head where Ben's is. That would be cute. Weird, but cute.
  • hahaha, well Ben is a cutie so I will spare everyone the sight of VallyBen, for now :)

  • Good morning, all. My morning has been one thing after another, and I'm trying to wean myself off caffeine (or at least reduce my addiction a bit), so today should be uber fun. I wish I had some leave left, but this year I used it all on my dang wedding/HM/trip to FL. I'm glad you get to see FI, sarah- I know it's been forever. Congrats, kdc!! It'll be here before you know it!
  • Thanks for all the well wishes! I just finished ironing pocket squares (and being a good future wifey and ironing FI's shirt for the wedding). Contemplating breakfast before I start baking chocolate chip cookies - otherwise I will end up eating dough for breakfast...mmm...
  • I'm ok aside from thinking it's Thursday. And my best friend/MOH is flying in today for her grandmother's funeral.  She had been sick a long time.  My MOH has been having a lot of problems with depression/anxiety lately (broke up with her bf of 4 years in the summer).  When she was home in August, we met for lunch with another BM.  BM & I had a powwow after that b/c MOH is not well...anxiety aggravates acid reflux, acid reflux aggravates asthma, asthma makes her dizzy etc. And she has always had issues with keeping herself hydrated (doesn't like water, never drinks enough good drinks, passed out during our friend's wedding, etc). So she & I talked several times over email (she lives in Cali) about taking better care of herself.  She has been somewhat open but I just don't think she's doing it.  I got to the point where I was so worried about her, MY acid reflux was kicking up.  So even though she is coming home for a sad reason, I'd hoped to use some of the time to talk to her more about what's going on with her. Well now I can't do that because her ex's sister is making the trip with her.  (And trust me, the ex is half MOH's problem).  MOH didn't feel she could "make this trip alone because of my anxiety and asthma.", so ex's sis is coming with her. (for 7 days)And I know this is going to sound insensitive, but I really wanted to say "FFS, MOH, it is time to grow up and take charge of your life. Start learning what you can do to manage your anxiety instead of letting people baby you. And quit posting things on FB so 25 people leave comments saying "OMG are you ok?" "What's wrong?"Sorry guys, thanks for the vent. I am done now.
