Hi.  I know you want to....How are you?  Have you been busy lately?  What are you and your husband doing for thanksgiving?  I always forget where you live.... Do you like being a mod?  How do you manage to be so nice all the time?  I think I would go on a power trip and ban everyone that was stupid for no good reason.  What's your favorite colour?  What did you guys do for your anniversary this year?  DId you do the traditional gifts... paper?  Did you go away for the weekend or anything fun?  Where's your next vacation going to be?  How did that roadtrip go?  Did you guys have a blast or what?  Favorite city you have ever been to?  DO you like pizza?  I like pizza.  When was the last time you had pizza?  What is your favorite meal to make?  How long do you think you'll stick around on the knot?  Favorite nest board?  I hate it over there.  I asked a question and NO ONE answered me.  Except for Anna, but she doesn't count because I complained about it over here.  What's for lunch?  Dressing up for halloween this year?  I still haven't made those delicious paula deen gooey cakes.  I want to, but every time I look at the recipe I lose my motivation.  Have you used your fire pit a lot so far?

First, thank you for making me laugh!Okay let's see:How are you? Have you been busy lately?   I'm good and yes I've been really busy lately!  I had this big case when I used to work somewhere else that has come back and I had to be deposed yesterday for 3 hours.  It was fun but it's been a lot of preparation and extra work.What are you and your husband doing for thanksgiving? I always forget where you live...  We live in Indiana.  We're going to his Uncle's house for Thanksgiving in my hometown, which is also where his family lives except his parents.  My parents are in FL for winter so we don't see them on Thanksgiving.Do you like being a mod? How do you manage to be so nice all the time? I think I would go on a power trip and ban everyone that was stupid for no good reasonSometimes I want to ban people just because I hate them, but I know I shouldn't do that so logic wins out.  I'm not nice all the time, but I just figure if someone has to be a mod, I'd rather it be me because I know this board pretty well and what flies here and what doesn't.  I'd hate to have some uptight mod like some other boards have.This might take me a couple of posts to answer everything!

Butting in too - The gooey cakes - if they are the pumpkin version, use the big can of the pumpkin instead of the little one they suggest. Gives it a richer flavor. The small one made it way too sweet for my taste.  Thats all.

What's your favorite colour?I always say green but if you look at my clothes it's mostly dark purples and burgundys so some would say that means those are my favs. What did you guys do for your anniversary this year? Did you go away for the weekend or anything fun?We had plans to go to a really expensive local steakhouse here but then my H's uncle died suddenly and we ended up having to go out of town and cancel the reservations. Since the first anniversary gift is paper, we spent the whole day of our actual anniversary making handmade paper (and drinking). It was really fun.>Where's your next vacation going to be? Good question! I'm always trying to get my H to go somewhere but he's always the practical one. I think we're going to visit friends in Tampa in February but that's not set in stone yet.How did that roadtrip go? Did you guys have a blast or what?We totally did! It was a really fun trip, there and back. Favorite city you have ever been to?New York City. I went twice last year and did different things both times and just love it. I love the energy of it. DO you like pizza? I like pizza. When was the last time you had pizza? I like pizza! My favorite topping is pepperoni but I like everything pretty much. The last time I had pizza, my H and I ordered Donatos and laid in bed and ate it and watched a movie. It was fun.

Favorite meal to make?  I'm not sure, I'm not really a cooker, I'm a baker.  I do a Carolina BBQ Pork Roast that I make in the crock pot that is well loved and people actually ask me to make it for parties.  So I guess that's it.How long do you think you'll stick around on the knot? I asked a question and NO ONE answered meThat happened to me too!!  I was so pissed because by the end of the day there were like 30 new posts on the board and about 40 people had viewed my post and no one answered.  I don't like it over there.  I really don't know how long I'll stick around here.  I guess until it just stops being a fun time waster.What's for lunch? Chili from my favorite chili placeDressing up for halloween this year?No not this year.  We have the last two years, but this year since my parents are leaving for FL on the 1st, we're going up north to see them on Halloween weekend and say goodbye. I want to, but every time I look at the recipe I lose my motivationThey are soooooo good!  They're a lot easier and quicker to put together than they look.  You should make them for Halloween!Have you used your fire pit a lot so far?We used it a ton in the spring and early summer but this fall we've only used it once or twice.  It got so cold so fast!  We're hoping using it this Saturday night though because we're having people over.  So that should be fun!Phew!

That's awesome!  I will give those cakes a try.  I will I will.  I promise.  We're leaving town for halloween so I won't be able to make them then.  But perhaps the next time I have people over.  I hate the nest.  I will continue to lurk for decor ideas but damned if I will ask another question.

Can I just say that Gooey Butter Cake is the single best dessert on Earth? Because it is. I make them for every family get together. I LOVE THEM!!!!!!!!! To me, the plain is best, but I am contemplating making a pumpkin one for Thanksgiving. That is all.

Georgia - my mom used to make plain ones when I was a kid but she can't find the recipe.  Is this the recipe you use or do you use something else?  To make them plain, you just leave out the pumpkin?
