Poll: What to wear....

to a wedding at a beautiful winery in 2 weeks....DH is the best man so I kind of want to dress up, but its getting cold.  The colors for the wedding are black and a deep red.  So would you go withOption A) A simple but sexy black or wine dress that hits below the knee.Option A nice pair of black dress pants and buy a new cute top in some color that looks good with DH's vest.Option My wedding dress......cause I've only got to wear it the one time....and that seems wasteful.   ;-)

I always opt for a dress when possible, so I say A with a cardigan.

You know you don't have to coordinate with the wedding colours right? I'd just do a LBD personally.

You could always wear tights or leggings under the dress with a cardigan if you get cold. I would go with A.

Oh I know that I don't have to match....just kind of want to....or at least not clash...so when we have pictures taken, I won't stick out like a sore thumb, lol.

LBD- Little black dress.  A wardrobe staple.  I'd go with A with fun shoes and tights and a pashmina/cardigan in your bag. Please dont match the wedding colors. Leave that to the decorations and bridesmaids.

I would wear a wine or deep red dress in case that's what the BMs are wearing.  You shouldn't look like you're trying to match them.  If it's an evening reception, I'd just go with a black dress.

Yeah, I'm going to coordinating more so than matching anything...I think the black dress is the best choice though....just wanted some more opinions.  I like the ideas of doing some fun shoes and accessories in color...great ideas ladies.  I have some shopping to do.

I dont' think OP wants to match, just wants to pick a color that coordinates well with DH for photos.

Is it an evening reception? Will it be outside? I would go with A and a shawl/cardigan because it gets cold in wine country at night. (It's what makes the grapes so good: hot days and cold nights).
