NYC Wedding for Less than $10,000

I'm throwing an amazing wedding in NYC for less than $10,000 and sharing all my sources and prices on my blog. I'm not cutting any corners either. We're talking 90 people and a 5 hour reception. People have been really nice to help me out so I wanted to help others. good luck!

We must be knot friends!! There are so many non-practical and hoopla-happy knotties here it makes me a little sick. I've tried a few boards and I cannot seem to be in the same mindframe as some.

I think this is totally possible as well. I may be going a little bit over budget now that the venue and a few other things have been booked but I think it's worth it so far.

Thanks for being so candid and helpful with the suggestions! Did you do the UWS 107 West or the Washington Heights location? Was there enough room for everyone to dance comfortably? And was your photography able to accomodate the tight budget as well? I'm having a little trouble finding an affordable place in NYC on a non-extravagant budget! Sounds like you got it right!

Are you set on Manhattan? I found an awesome place in Throgs Neck, Bronx. It's called Tosca Marquee. It's listed under vendors here on the knot.

Photography also I found for a great price. PM me for details.

Thanks, Marisa. Will def look into the venue; I'm clearly new at this, and unfortunately, can't quite get the PM thing down! But I'd love to hear more about the photography if you're able to send me a PM!? Thanks in advance!

This is great stuff. Another budget friendly tip is to sign up vista print's mailing list. They're always sending offers for free invitations and announcements. I ordered my save the dates and only had to pay shipping and handling which was $4.47 for an order of 10.

The 107 West location I'm doing it at is the one on Broadway and 107th st. I'm having 90 people buffet style. They are having tables in the glass atrium that juts out onto the street and then after dinner is served they are going to move the tables and the glass atrium becomes the dance floor. I think it is going to look so lovely in Feb. especially if it snows, feeling like you are outside. We're also going to put little lights up. The place has a great decor already for the wedding so we don't have to do much. Call up and ask for Nick. He's the one who arranged it for me.

Also, I recommend Roseann Wang Photography. She's doing mine for free because I signed on when she was just starting her wedding book (before that she did food), but now she has 8 weddings lined up already for next year. I'm still positive though that she'll be cheaper than anyone else you look at and she does great shots and gets so excited for the bride as opposed to angry or quirky photogs (for some reason all the other ones I've seen have been like that).
