NWR: OH NO HE DI INT!

So I'm working the hotel tonight, and there is a huge snobby wedding party staying here.About 2 hours ago, a young man had came by the front desk, said his dad accidentally left the do not disturb sign on his door, and he needed 4 towels and a couple bars of soap, said his dad would be by after dinner to pick up the items. So I said sure and gathered up the items.Well, the dad came in and was very upset about not having his room cleaned, and he was being pretty rude to me. I said (in a not so nice tone) well sir, the housekeepers will not touch your room when you have the DND tag on the door. He said, well, I tried to tell the maid that I still needed my room cleaned and she said ok, and still didn't do it.So, I started to apologize, when he said, She probably wasn't even American, so I doubt she speaks English.!!! So I told him, in a so not even nicer tone, that all of our HOUSEKEEPERS are American and they all speak English. I probably overreacted, but it really rubbed me the wrong way.::sigh:: I'm about to eat my Subway and maybe I'll be in a better mood.

Hiiiii jen!Mandy, I am about that way, when I was in retail it was waaaay worse. Luckily the price of our hotel is usually enough to keep the worst of it away, but then we get the snobs.

People.Yesterday I had a patient call yelling saying noone was helping him yada yada. I told him Ellie could see him tomorrow...he yelled some more then he said "that Ellie is she arab or something?" (She is from Iran but speaks english and is more than capable) I tried to explain this to him but he cut me off. Why does it matter?!

Roxy, I just don't get why people have to pull the race card, it's just totally unnecessary. I get that HK might have messed up by not cleaning it after he asked, but still.Oh, and when he came down, he said he needed absolutely everything, toilet tissue, napkins, soap, shampoo, cups, everything. And he's one man. That checked in yesterday. HTF do you use that many tissues and two rolls of TP in ONE DAY?

sucrets, he probably did. Even if you ask, HK still won't usually touch your room with the tag up, because you could have changed your mind and was having sex with the mistress.

I liked the name "Cobra". Cracked me up.Some people are jerks man. And it doesn't matter if the lady speaks english or not, I'm sure she knows when the sign is on the door, you DON'T disturb. Last winter, we stayed at this ski resort. We were doing shots when our maid came to offer us towels. We offered her a shot and she treated us like royalty the rest of our trip. Ha!If it's enlightening at all, I was at the store earlier and I only had 5 things. The lady with a full basket let me go in front of her, which I thought was nice. THEN she lets someone ELSE in front of her. That actually surprised me. It's nice there are some good people out there still.
