Proof my menus

I asked on the DIY board, but its slow.  Will you ladies take a look?

Re: Proof my menus

• Shouldn't it be either Tortellini a la Panna or Tortellini ala Panna, not al a?I would also get rid of everything else after the dessert.  It's unnecessary.  People know all that shiit goes on after dinner and that they get to take the favors home.

• Dunno about the al a.  Thats how they have it listed on their website.  Any Italian ladies out there?
• I briefly took Italian in college and that doesn't look right to me.  Not sure what the correct version is, though.

• Oh its listed on my contract as alla Panna......does that look right?
• I agree with Brie, I would stick to food only on the menu. And ditto pp about "prosciutto." I like the colors.
• Thanks.  Pink and Maroon are the colors.  The more I see them together, the more I love them.
• Yeah, I don't like the stuff on the bottom either, but if you insist on keeping it, they don't need headings.I would just put it on there as a sentence on the bottom.Kids coloring books, shoes, and glowstick are available for you by the dance floor!Don't forget to take a bottle of water as out gift to you!

• I would like it better if you cut out everything after dessert, and added in more about what is with each entree. Is that all that is served with the chicken florentine? Is there no vegeatables with the fliet mignon? Will there be any wine or what not available with dinner, if so can you describe that. I personally think all of the stuff at the bottom is overkill.
• Thanks!  Those are all things I wasn't thinking about!
• This may seem really picky, but by definition Chicken Florentine will have spinach. That's analogous to saying "chicken sandwich with bread."
• I agree with the others that you don't need all that extra info.  If you keep it though, it should be "kids'" (possessive) and I read that sentence for some reason as all being for kids -- so maybe reorder it so it doesn't look like kids' applies to the whole thing.  I would also drop "Mountain" to the next line so it is with the rest of the name.I agree with the others that "al a" is wrong.  I wouldn't necessarily go by what your venue says -- the people who write up these brochures aren't always the greatest copy editors.

• I know I am late, but is the salad an appetizer, or its own course?

• I studied Italian for three years, so I can tell you that it should be "alla Panna." It should also be "Filet Mignon Tips alla Marsala."I write copy and edit it for a living, so my eyes instantly fixated on the inconsistency of capitalization. For the courses, either capitalize the first letter of every word, or just capitalize the first letter of the first word. Right now you have a combination of both.
