Need photography recommendations!

We've met with a few photographers but still haven't found someone that is it....either their packages are not stuff we want, they have tons of extra fees, the pictures are less than stellar or the photographer himself is too strange and not someone I'd want to be with on my wedding day.

We would like a team of 2 photographers, for about 8 hours.  Ideally the package would give us high resolution pictures but would not include albums or a ton of extras.  We'd like to keep it under $4000.

We live in NYC, but we're getting married at The Garrison.  Would meet with a photographer in either place and don't mind paying a travel fee as long as it is reasonable.  Does anyone have a photographer they can highly recommend?

I flew mine from North Carolina to NYC. I can't tell you how highly I recommend them. We hired them as a photo/video team instead of just video.

You have to have to HAVE to check out BJ Enright Photography! He sounds like the perfect match for what you want! He's reasonably priced (he's newer to the New York area), has some of the most gorgeous wedding photos I've seen, and is super friendly, relaxed, and calm under pressure, I could go on... He's amazing!!

I'm not sure of his current rates but it's definitely under $4000 and I don't remember him having crazy packages.

We are using Gina Esposito  http://www.ginaesposito.com  She was very up front with her pricing, very ala carte and very personable. Her studio is in Long Island but she met us in the city.

astami photographed my wedding and to this day, i love my photos. while she gave us time to take posed photos, she captured the candid parts of my wedding beautifully. i love her work and love her as a person. she's kind, calm, and extremely professional. she honestly was the least stressful part of my wedding to deal with and looking back, i really appreciated that. i know that her package includes the high-resolution images and a second shooter. she didn't offer albums but was a huge help when i wanted to make it on my own. her website is www.astamiphotos.com and her email is info@astamiphotos.com. hope this helps!
