Hi there :)One more apple pie wine question. Do you happen to know how many bottles of wine your dad made from the recipe P2 gave us? I'm going to make mine this weekend and I'm going to buy some bottles tonight, so I want to make sure I have enough.Thanks!

It's boiled up pretty good and then refridgerated, so as long as it's sealed/corked, I would say it will last for at least a few months.

Vogt, what kind of bottles are you buying? What did you ever do about the vodka situation? I'll be making mine on Veteran's Day for my Nov 14th party, hopefully.

There is a local winery that bottles its own wine.  It says drink within 2 months, so probably 3 total.  If it gets cloudy though, no drinking.

Hobby Lobby had wine bottles the last time I was there, so I'm hoping they still do. I'm just going to go with regular vodka. Bubba said her dad used that and it turned out to be good

Awesome!  Thanks Night and Vogt. Georgia - I'm getting my bottles from a store that sells brewery supplies.  They sell the bottles in dozens here.  I also saw that Cotsco had bottles at one time, not sure if they still do.

I might put a little more in there if the first batch seems weak (I'm making a test batch before I make the stuff for gifts), so I'll let you know. I might slur a bit, but you'll get the idea

Yay! My first page! Thank you!My dad just refilled the apple cider/apple juice bottles he bought and he had some leftover to keep at home. Also? If you do that make sure everyone knows that it's Apple Wine in the bottles. On Monday S emailed me to ask if the "apple juice" was "special". He usually drinks juice in the morning so he was surprised when it tasted different. Heh. Fortunately he likes to mix all the juices in the fridge together so it was pretty watered down. Heh.

You're welcome! That is hilarious about S drinking it. I'm hoping the wine bottles will deter any children who visit from drinking. Or maybe it will just keep them calm :)I'll buy a plethora of bottles and take back what I don't use, I guess. Thanks!!
