Question about selling items???

A knottie offered to buy some of my used wedding items, but does not know how to use paypal. She offered to send me a check, and I can then send her the stuff once the check clears. Do you think this is ok? Is there any catch I am missing? Thanks for any advice

I second the money order. I have a knottie in WI buying my linens. But she uses paypal.

I would either request a money order or an email money transfer.

I would also recommend a money order. That way you don't have to worry about it not clearing.

Yeah, money order is the way to go.  if she tries to protest, tell her that she can get one at the post office.  The fees are nominal.  If she still won't do it, she's being sketch.

Just be sure not to accept the money order if she claims she accidentally ordered it for more than you are asking. It's a scam to get people to send back the difference.

Insist on a money order from the post office because there is a number you can call right away to make sure it is authentic.

sorry I am a little late.  Also, I don't want to be a Debbie Downer, but my FI has actually had a problem with a money order.  Someone actually stole some and forged one.  It was actually a pretty good forgery because it took the bank a couple of weeks to figure out what was wrong with it.
