thanks for the love, msmerymac.  I wasn't particularly trying to be mean, I just loathe intro posts. Post if you're going to post.  That was my only point.  And I'm probably going to Knottie hell for saying something like that when I'm too "new." Hanging on the internet with a giant group of chicks is like going to high school again sometimes.

You are allowed to hate intro posts and say whatever you want.  Likewise, those of us who don't see any harm in intro posts are allowed to find you ridiculous for randomly blasting out the super snarkarific guns where it wasn't warranted.  You sounded like a douche.  Trying to turn the reception of it around and blame it on high school antics to only makes you look worse.   Just move on.

I don't see what's so wrong with intro posts. It helps ME get to know who the person is instead of wondering, "Is she old, or new" in other threads.

If you hate them so much, you don't have to open them.  It's not like you don't know the content of the post when someone titles it "I lurk no more."  It's obvious the only reason that you opened and subsequently posted was for snark affect, which failed.There are times when snark is warranted, but in this case, not so much.
