I logged onto my WoW guild's teamspeak server, but cannot be bothered to play the game.  I was hoping for entertainment and fun.  I got buddy and his nephew.

I just started playing WoW last week (FI and I ordered a laptop, hopefully it will arrive soon so we don't have to keep sharing the desktop to play). I'm not going to lie, the trick-or-treating has been annoying me. The "treats" don't really do much other than take up valuable bag slots, lol.I'm sure next year once I'm actually competent at playing, I'll enjoy it.

You talk to the innkeepers once an hour and either they give you candy that is mainly does silly stuff or you get tricked and get turned into a cat, bat, snake, etc.WoW has stuff for each holiday that lasts for about 2 weeks.

meg - awesome!  What server?  Horde/ally?If you're low, you know you xp for clicking on the candy bucket things, right??

I'm Horde.FI has had Alliance characters since the game was called "Warcraft 2" (Yeah, he's pretty old school). He was anti-Horde forever.Then, when Liche King came out, a bunch of his friends decided to join up as Horde ... FI was excited that people he knew where finally playing ... and he totally converted all of his characters over. So I joined Horde to get their guild perks (Although, I can't even TOUCH most of the crap in the vault, since everybody else has at least one level 80 character).

Oh, and our server is Shandris if I remember correctly.My fave "trick" to date was getting turned into a ninja for an hour.

I LOVE being a ninja!  Savory Deviate Delights also can turn you into a pirate or ninja for an hour.  I always have some in my bags.What level are you?  And what do you play?

I tried playing WoW for about a month and totally sucked at it   And I enjoyed it, but I was very horrible.

You don't have to be GOOD at the game.  Lord knows I'm not.  My guild puts up with me because I round out the regular 5.  And I'm willing to heal.

I'm a level 15 blood elf hunter at the moment (Told FI that I had to "lose my WoW virginity" w/ a "hot" character, lol).So basically, I'm getting my @$$ handed to me by gnolls and merlocs in the Ghostlands, lol.

meg - that's totally my qualification for a toon.  When I started, I didn't have BC, so I couldn't be a belf.  Once I got BC, I rerolled with someone 'pretty'.  I'm seriously considering shelling out the $20 to make my undead mage pretty.katie - you seriously don't need ANY talent to play.  Just a patient FI.  Group with him and he can do all the hard work and blow shiit up for you.Btw, did I ever tell you about Josh's SHOCKED reaction when he saw the WoW pic on my school laptop?  I just set it as a background pic, and I think for a second he thought I cracked the laptop and installed the game!  It was really funny.

I may get back into it after I finish up this semester at school.  I really enjoyed it, even though Josh had to really help me out for a while.  I don't typically play any sort of games at all, so it was all very new to me.  But he was extremely patient.He had mentioned to me a long time ago that "the choir teacher plays WoW."  And then a while back you'd posted on a thread about the grocery store closing in the town where you work and I was like, "holy! That's choir teacher!" lol.

That's so funny!  Yeah, we had a chat after he saw the pic.I'm not a video game person, either.  I told Bryan that if he helped me, I'd level a healer because I like helping out.  I had no idea how hard it can be in raids.  But seriously, I think B really likes running me through stuff and explaining things to me.  And I also think that Josh and Bryan are pretty similar - dorky, all around nice guys. (I hope that didn't offend...I mean dorky in the best sense possible)

Effing murlocs indeed. I HATE those little f*ckers.I actually decided to be a hunter because I do game a bit on my own ... and since FI pretty much has 1 of everything ELSE on his roster, I figured this way I could play something that he could only help me so much with.Like, I want him to help, but since he's been doing it so long, I didn't want it to be him instructing me in his sleep while I was chugging along pathetically. If I don't know something class-related, I actually have to learn it on my own, which is nice.

Good for you, meg.  I've only played squishy toons, so I loved when DH came and blew everything up for me.

Oh Josh is definitely dorky   I love it, though. He had me make all kinds of different characters and try them out to see which I liked best, and I had the most fun with my hunter.  So, when and if I can start playing again, I'll probably start back up with that one.
