  • What was (or is) your favorite candy? I looooove Krackles and Kit Kats Do you give that to trick or treaters or do you give whatever you can find in bulk? I don't give any candy - we live in an apartment complex. I've never had a single trick-or-treated. But someday I'll give out Kit Kats. If you have a child, do you swipe from your child's goodies? truth now, I did it ;) N/A

  • When I was younger, I used to love Reese's PB cups - but it seems as if they've changed the formula, they don't tast quite the same.  Now, I think my "favorite" is probably Snickers.I do give a combo of my fave and my son's preference to TOT'ers.  He likes the fruity candies, like Skittles, Starbursts, Nerds, etc.Yes, I have been known to swipe.  He doesn't like the Milky Ways anyway. :P
  • Sour patch kids.I get good stuff, but not these, because I wouldn't want to give them away :D
  • Three Musketeers are my favorite. If I was going to give out Halloween candy, I would definitely buy something I like, so that I could eat the leftovers. The thing is, though, having a bag of candy around the house is not a good idea when you're under strict orders from your nutritionist about what you're allowed to eat. I am an emotional eater, and if I had them around the house there's no way I'd be able to stick to one a day, which is about what would be acceptable. So I didn't buy any, and I'm currently pretending I'm not home. I live in an apartment anyway, and I never get trick or treaters.

    Our Story MAJORLY UPDATED 8/6/09
Wouldn't it be nice to live together in the kind of world where we belong?
  • too late, CapriJust handed out the last Snickers bar and that's the end of trick or treating here tonight :(Loved seeing all those kids so excited and some of them make you guess what they are .
  • My current favorite is cookies and cream hershey bars. I love kitkats and almond joy. I bought what I like because I figured I'd have leftovers. No kids, so I'll have to buy candy for myself for now.

  • Reeses peanut butter cups also.  I bought a bulk mix bag, and picked all of them out so I could have them, the kids get whoppers and hershey bars.  I feel no shame.
  • I love brach's candy corn and butterfingers... I purposely (sp?) bought candy I hated so I wouldn't sit there this year and pick at it. I kept telling DH that I did a good job this year!! Now if you read my other post---I will be eating some wedding cake lol

  • It's the thought that counts, OOT! :)
  • I give out all my favorite candy so I can snack on it while I wait for more trick or treaters Fun Dip (for the little ones) Reeses assorted, charleston chews, nerds, halloween dots and bottle caps.Nope. But i'll trade them for candy bowl leftovers.  Negotiations are brutal and I think my niece got the better deal this year. I had to trade 3 fun dips for a fun size milky way and a pixie stick.
  • Reeses and Snickers.  I get what we like and give the good stuff to the little kids.  Later in the evening I give skittles and tootsie rolls to the bigger kids.  If they're not in costume and have a grocery sack, they get hard candy.  Leftovers go to the candy dish on my desk at work from now till Christmas.  And yes, I take the good stuff from my daughters' stash.

  • Starburst, Take5, Reeses...we're candy fiends....I admit, we buy a ton of candy and give out our least favorites (Kit Kat, Snickers) first.  No kids yet, but I do see that happening at some point, if it's something really good, and they're too little to be having it anyway (ie baby getting a lollipop or something)
  • Reese's pb cups and kit kats. I'd also give twix. Mostly b/c we like to have some on hand, but get few if any trick-or-treaters, so we get stuff we'll eat.
