I began Halloween healthy with few plans.  I ended the day with a fever, hacking cough, and congestion, and am still in and out of fever when my medicine is due.  Did P&E have a better weekend then I did?

I had to work today after working all week. I was supposed to be there for 3 hours and leave by noon. I left at 4:30. And I missed my team's game (Ravens - they won!). So I am not feeling as bad as you, but I wouldn't say my weekend was much better.

I took yesterday off, but I had to work all day today.  I started the day off a bit hungover, so it has sucked.

Gargle with salt water!!  And use a neti pot, if you have one.

It's AMAZING.  Doesn't hurt, you can barely feel it, and it clears out your sinuses much better than any medicine could.Half of the time when I feel shiitty when I have a cold is from struggling to breathe.  If you neti every few hours, you regain that silly breathing through your nose function!

I will second the Neti Pot love.  It is a little scary to use, but you feel so awesome when it's done that it's worth it.

No.  I feel it when it first starts, but once it's flowing, you don't feel a thing.

Nova - i HIGHLY recommend it.  And so does DH.  It took awhile to convince him, but he loves it.

Love my neti pot! It doesn't hurt at all. As another pp said you only feel it at first but once things start running you don't feel a thing...except much better at the end. I suffer from chronic sinus infections and refuse to get the surgery. I seriously credit the neti pot with making my symptoms so much easier to handle.

Yep, for like 2 seconds it feels like you got a little bit of water up your nose while swimming, but then it goes away.I was hesitant at first, too, but it's soooo easy once you do it.

For some reason, my first thought involved spaghetti coming out of one's nose.

I was sick all week with it, I'm still trying to get rid of my fever, but it's down to low grade now....Try Sambucol the liquid version, it's helped a lot for me, also salt water, and something for the fever.
