Ivory vs. Diamond White

I have a question... exactly how much of my wedding design and theme depends on the bridal gown, i.e. my dress?  Ivory or Diamond White?  If I choose an ivory dress, should our invitations, table overlays and general design reflect the ivory?  Conversely, if I choose a dress which is diamond white, but my invitations and website use ivory, will it all clash? 

Please advise!

    I think you would be hard pressed to find any of your guests who will notice or care :-) 

    If you care though, Ivory is probably easier to match as it's a more common color (Diamond White seems to only exist in the wedding planning world).
