Vent - cable

Gah, our cable provider annoys the pants off me. For the last couple weeks we've had channels randomly dropping off. One day it will be Discovery, then NFL, then Fox, etc. So tonight I could only find about 3 channels that still work. Scott calls them and apparently there is a shortage out in our area.Um yeah, except this has been happening for the last few weeks, and I'm paying you almost $200 a month for this. Come on house...please let us get this house and out of this stupid area with its stupid cable.

  • They should give you a credit on your bill for the outage. We have Comcast and that's what they do.
  • I want Comcast...we're signing up with them once we move.

  • Right now I'll take Comcast over our small cable company. They routinely broadcast without sound, have transmission issues, and don't have great selection. We can't wait to change.
  • This is why we have satellite now... (plus we've got a real clear southern sightline).Cable is the devil. I had Time Warner in NC, they weren't super bad, but DH had MCHSI when I moved in. He was paying more than I was for basic (no movies, the lowest extended cable channel package there was) plus internet; and I had internet, movie channels, and big time extended cable channels.The only downside to the satellite is we don't get local weather on The Weather Channel.

  • So I try to get onto the live chat "live chat is currently unavailable". Then I notice that our account has the wrong phone number for us, I don't even know what phone number it is but it's the wrong area code as well as not one of our numbers. So I got to change that "we are experiencing technical difficulties".Let's see what's on the tivo that I can watch for the 5th time...of course this happens 3 days after I pack up all of our dvds and movies and move them to my parents house to store.F U COX F U
  • We dont have cable. . havent for two years. . we get 4 channels and an extra one of a good day. . I miss cable :(Good luck with that though! They should totally give you a credit!
