I'm not a fan of them either (they're not as portable as they appear to be) but I just started seeing the commercials all of a sudden.  The one with the guy getting waxed makes me chuckle, while the other one...I have no idea what's going on in it so I pretty much hate it.And it's a slow day at work today, so I thought I would come out and play.

The best ice cream novelty I've ever had was in Europe.  It was an ice cream pop on a stick covered in Pop Rocks.  I had it in 1999 in either Germany or Luxembourg, and never, ever have seen it again anywhere in the world since.  For that, I would give my first born child.

Kate, last year at the Texas State Fair they had fried ice cream covered in pop rocks. It was pretty yummy. This year, they sold fried lumps of butter...

Then that makes total sense...I didn't try the fried butter. I love my heart too much but I have friends that did and they said it tasted like a buttered biscuit. Not sure if I believe them. Texas amazes me, every year at the State Fair they fry something new and sell it. kdc - I'm what they call 'pre-diabetic'. I have Reactive Hypoglycemia and Insulin Resistance. Basically, if I eat too many simple carbs/sugars then about two hours later my sugar will plummet to the 20's/30's. My blood doesn't accept the insulin my body makes so then my body produces even more insulin because it's confused. The excessive insulin then causes all my Polycystic Ovarian issues. I've already had one ovarian tumor removed and pretty sure I'm gonna have to go in again soon.  I've been having major ovarian pain for about two weeks now.

I saw a post here last night complaining about the fall of TCBY and frozen yogurt generally. Funny b/c here in DC in the past year about 20 little "japanese" frozen yogurt shops have sprouted up. I would totally flash my newfound D cups for green tea frozen yogurt with pineapple and mochi...yum!
