I just got a call from Pete, our new dog (Ginger) was attacked by four other dogs at the dog park. I can't even describe how pissed I am right now. Apparently Pete was about to get the leash back on her to come home when a woman pulled up with her four dogs, she let them out of the car and one of the dogs beelined for Ginger. Once that happened, the other three followed.Pete said he was doing everything he could to get the other dogs off of her and pick her up, but she still got bit. She ended up getting away and running off to the other side of the park. The details are fuzzy but I think that's when the woman finally got control of her dogs. Pete didn't do anything about the woman, he said he was so pissed he just wanted to get Ginger and leave. I'm fuucking livid. I want to drive to the dog park and find the stupid hoar who brings 4 aggressive dogs to a dog park and punch her in the baby maker. I'm dead serious.

Poor Ginger and poor Pete! That woman deserves to be punched in the baby maker, 100%. This is what drives me crazy about dog parks. They're awesome but not everyone is smart enough to utilize them properly. I hope Ginger is ok!

Oh no!  Is she okay? I hear so many horror stories about dog parks I'm terrified to bring Milhouse to one, although I'm sure he'd love it.  Let's meet in Columbia and have our own friendly doggie playdate instead.

That's ridiculous.  Definitely take Ginger to the vet to make sure the bite doesn't get infected or anything.  She's up to date on her rabies, right?

I'd at least get her freaking phone number so you can find out if her dogs are vaccinated and she can pay any vet bills if need be. Sheesh.I hope Ginger is okay!

Poor Puppy!  I'm so sorry.  I hope she is ok and isn't too traumatized to go back to the park...I would be fuming myself.  People should have to pass a test to have pets....and kids for that matter.  Craziness.

Oh, and I was once bitten by a dog and ignored the advice in my last comment, so I don't blame your husband for being flustered and just wanting to get out of there, at all. (Yeah, a rottweiler bit me while I was walking home one day. WTF? I didn't notice I was bleeding for a few minutes.)

Aw, poor Ginger   I'm glad she's ok, though.Some people are so stupid.  I see dogs like this at the dog park sometimes, and it makes me so angry.  Not to threadjack, but bubba- OMG, your sig is hilarious.  I defnitely LOL'd.

Sorry, yes she's ok as gar as he can tell. The bite didn't draw blood.She's pretty timid around other dogs and shy in general, that's why he's been taking her to the dog park. That incident probably reversed all her progress, wtf is wrong with people?

I wish he had gotten her license plate or something. The way he put it is he wanted to get Ginger away from those dog as quickly as possible, because the women obviously didn't have control over them. She's up to date on all her vaccinations. I'm going to take a look when I get home and see if it's vet worthy.Brie, I think the columbia idea is a good one. It's going to be a long time before I'm cool with the dog park again.

Kiki my coworker sent me this picture and I crack up every time I look at it. Lpstl watch for swelling or hot spots where she was bitten. My friend's puppy was bitten a couple years ago by another dog and it didn't draw blood but he got some soft tissue damage that took a little while to heal.

I'm very sorry about Ginger, hope she has a full and speedy recovery. Irresponsible dog owners are the suck.
