6-7k wedding in NYC/lower Westchester

Someone suggested I post this here, I'm new and had no idea there was a local section. My fiance and I don't know many people and we will be having about 35 to 40 people. I'd like a venue with a garden or some sort of outdoor space so either a restaurant with a rooftop or a restaurant with a garden would be fine. It would be in May 2012 but I'm willing to move it around to be cheaper. This rules out the Bronx, so Manhattan and Westchester County are the only places I suppose. I figured at max 150pp this could work. When I say "Wedding" I'm not including anything but the venue/food/drink which would be the wedding package at whatever place we choose.

(Edited because I know even less people then I thought lol)

It may bepossible - Consider having the wedding on a Friday or Sunday - are you looking at catering halls or other places ? is the 6-7 K for reception only or the entire wedding?

I've been researching today and I feel like I may have to bump it up but I also realized that it's more like 35-40 people not 50, which also causes a problem as I know certain places won't take you if you are too small. So I'm thinking a restaurant with a garden/outdoor space could I get something like that for around that price? We're not religious so basically somewhere to get married and have the reception. I guess in that price I'm really thinking venue/food/booze. If I need to tack on an extra 1-2k It can be done I believe. I'm willing to do a Sunday definitely.

I have my bridal shower at Bacchus in Brooklyn.  They have a super cute garden, and the food is good.  I am pretty sure you can do it within your budget and according to my MOH, they are great to work with. I know they do wedding as well.

If you like Italian Food, you can try Mario's in Belmont.  I know they have a private room that is the perfect size for your party.  Jake's Steakhouse might be able to accommodate you.  I believe it's in Riverdale.

I think I said this on the budget board, but you really should rule out catering halls.  You wouldn't be able to meet the minimum.  You don't want to end up paying for people who aren't there.  Good luck!

Try Frankie's Spuntino.  They have a really reasonable package that looks great with an indoor/outdoor space that I would choose if I had fewer guests!!
