I AM FURIOUS

Re: I AM FURIOUS

  • It sounds like she has some of her own issues. You obviously know what you are getting into. And I don't even like to say it like that because in the long run forgetting a car charger isn't a big deal. Yeah it's annoying and will piss you off, but seriously, why try to psychoanalyze someone just because they forgot a damn car charger?

  • Its her own freaking fault! She has taken care of him his entire life. She has never made him accountable for his mistakes. So all of a sudden, she expects him to be perfect. She just enjoys biitching about him. I ended the conversation by saying "Don't worry, you won't ever have to worry about it anymore after the next 6 months go by".

  • Ahhh yeah she sounds peachy. :) OMG he's YOUR problem now, LVB!!!

  • OMG!!! I'm going to be picking up his dirty socks foreva!!! As long as I can differentiate between his dirty socks on the floor and mine...I could have told her I'm just as big a slob...but she kinda thinks I'm sorta perfect and I didn't want to dispel that...Wow, nerd. lol. We have a weird relationship. FI and I think she loves me more than him (because compared to her version of him, I'm so much better and more mature), but I'm sorta iffy on her, but I put on a front because I like things nice and calm.

  • LVB, sometimes, that's the best you can do.  Hang in there, girl!

I love you Missy. Even though you are not smart enough to take online quizzes to find out really important information. ~cew
  • Thanks :) I'm better now, it was just that initial reaction of being worried about him and being angry.

  • I'm sorry LVB, that must have been so frustrating.  But I fail to see not have a charged phone as being irresponsible. Not know how to change a tire is irresponsible.  Not checking to make sure your spare tire is in good working order for a road trip is being irresposible.  Not having a charged phone, annoying yes.  Irresponsible?, not so sure.  Heck you can be a responsible adult and not even own a cell phone.I was not allowed to get my license until I learned how to change a tire. Even in St Thomas, you car can not pass inspection without a tire iron and jack.  That is being responsible.  (yes I have changed 5 tires in my lifetime by myself)I say that because there are still parts of the country where cell phones just do not have good phone service.  So even if he was at full charge, it might not have done any good.I'm glad he is safe and sound. Now lets teach him how to change a tire on his own, learn to check over the car before a road trip and buy him a car charger that is to never leave the car.

What differentiates an average host and a great host is anticipating unexpressed needs and wants of their guests.  Just because the want/need is not expressed, doesn't mean it wouldn't be appreciated.
