• Night have you checked out depo-prevera? I have used it for years and love it.Not sure if it has the same clotting risks as BCP though.
 • The only way NFP works is if you chart.Anything that assumes that you have a regular cycle is bull and you can't trust it.

 • Ha ha Sarah. Why IS it so funny? Part of me is like, "ooh, intriguing," and then I remember that scene from Pulp Fiction and it all goes out the window. But the gimp is always funny. ;)I feel like there are two totally different conversations happening in this thread. Sorry I can't help with the BC stuff. I have always used, and plan to keep using, the pill.

 • EVERYONE'S got a horror story. Remember, your only highly likely to get pg 3 days out of your cycle. If you're vigilant about taking your temp, it is very effective. Granted, I say taht, but I'm worried about it too. I just don't really see a great option out there. We both despise condoms, so I don't know what to do.

 • Wait, Salt, you started posting in Feb? How is this possible? That's when I started and you're way more of a reg than I am. P&E fail on my part. Yep. Sadly. As I said I have a very computer-centric job, and I've never been all diagnosed with ADHD or anything, but I have to have like a million things going on in order to pay attention to work. I'm a multitasker. :) Seriously as much as I knot, I've never missed a deadline. All my stuff is done early. I like to think you guys make me creative.

 • LVB - I also need to get something off my chest that has been bothering me, and it's totally okay with me if you don't like me, because, you know, not everyone likes everyone, but I would at least like you to dislike me based on reality and not a misconception (and yes, this has actually stuck with me for a couple of weeks). I think you mentioned two FFFs ago that you didn't like me because I had said in a confession thread that I had been feeling superior lately. lala did give me a "whoa, what?" on that, and in my next response, which I believe you missed, explained that I had been uncomfortable with how superior I was feeling to Buddy's ex-wife - the one that we live with, who never pays her bills, sleeps late every day, then goes and sleeps on the couch all day, and is doing nothing and going nowhere with her life while destroying Buddy's life in the process. I wasn't talking about anyone here, and it was a confession that I was annoyed with MYSELF for looking down my nose so much at her. Now, you are perfectly free to dislike me for other reason. Or to dislike me for hating Buddy's ex-hosebeast. Wife. Same thing. Just as long as you dislike me based on something real. Like the fact that... ah... I've never eaten fried chicken. You know. Something real.

 • I think NFP can work if you are dedicated to it, however I think the percentage rate is so high because a majority of the people who use it would never admit their child was an accident...and now I feel like a bad catholic for saying that.

 • I admit, I was part of the january hilarity last january. I was flamed a ton for asking how to fire a BM, even though it was 100% justified and I ended the friendship over her actions. So that's why, 95% of the time, I try to be nice to posters because I remember my flaming quite well and I would like most posters to see one nice post amongst them.

 • How long after BCP until a cycle regulates?  I assume it will be a couple months because I've been on the pill for most of 5 years (another reason I should be off it.) I think depo has some of the same issues as the hormonal methods.  The gyno didn't recommend it to me.

 • On night vs day people - because of the time difference and my own schedule, I usually sleep through most of the morning posts. I used to go back to read them, but lately haven't and I've enjoyed P&E a LOT more.

 • Good night Missy!God I love Nintendo. Word. H and I just spent the past couple hours playing Super Mario Galaxy on the Wii. It was our first Wii game, so it's been neglected for a year or so.Btw, shelley, sorry that I keep misspelling your name. If the second 'e' pops up while typing, I just roll with it.

 • Well, I could be wrong about this, but most doctors suggest waiting 3 months after getting off to start trying for children. So I would assume that's when things start going back to normal? Plus, you're supposed to chart and temp for 3 months before totally relying on it, so it seems like 3 is the magic number?

 • Night - my cycles have always been effed up and long.  But my 1st month off the ring I had a 30 day cycle.  Then my 2nd was longer, but it was due to a procedure I had done.  And then I got knocked up.It's different for everyone.

I have always used, and plan to keep using, the pill.As always, there are MANY conversations going on at once. :)I don't really have anything helpful to say about the BC conversation either. We're using pill+condoms, and I imagine we will continue to do so for the foreseeable future. Not like we get all that many opportunities to act on any of that, anyway...

 • Seriously, I was unimpressed with the people at our party.  Most didn't get it.Though one guy did say to H "I guess this means you won the game".The couple that one the couples costume category were dressed as Wayne and Garth.  They totally rocked it.  We weren't worthy.
