What is a totem animal?

I refuse to allow trophies in my home. FI has two, his very first kill and a rather large buck from a couple years ago, but they will not be in my home. I can't stand the sight of them, so I understand where you're coming from.Brie, those poor deer That must be so painful for them. Is hunting not allowed in your area?

I personally find trophy hunting silly, but maybe that's because I'd rather eat the animal I killed rather than spend all the money on hunting and then still have to buy meat later.  That and venison is tasty and much better for you than beef.

Unfortunately, I doubt it would be legal.  We technically live within city limits, and since KC is a major city I don't think hunting is allowed.  We live on the outskirts, though, where a lot of wooded/farm areas are being developed into housing.  The deer aren't catching on and still roam the subdivisions pretty freely.  We see 3-4 on our street every night when we walk the dog, and lots while we're driving.  We have to be really careful.We have FI's first pair of antlers.  But I've hidden them in a closet.

Mocha, I know, right? Hunting is SO expensive, why not take what you've gotten out of it for food? I just don't get that at all.Oh ok Brie, that makes sense. FI has to go quite out of hsi way to hunt, there are designated areas in our town, but I won't bore y'all with all the details Jill, thanks for asking. I'm pretty knowledgeable about this subject, but actually, no one has ever asked me, besides to laugh at my (not-actually-happening) camo wedding.

Whit, so my sn came from my sorority mascot.  One year, our president's grandad gave her a stuffed squirrel that he had killed.  Um, no.  Bad.  I hit one driving the other day (it committed suicide, really), and I cried all the way home from work.  (PMS helped with that.)

Awww I would have cried too I've never killed a thing with my car and for some reason it pains me to think about it more than hunting does. I'm weird.
