The majority of my family served in the military at some point in their life.  A couple of them are still in.My FI is currently in the Air National Guard.

My family and my fil's are all military. Myself: Was in the Air Force Mom: Was in the Navy for 24 years. Dad: Was in the Navy for 4 years Grandap: Was in the Army Cousin: Is in the Air Force FFIL: Was in the Navy for 26 Years FBIL: In the Air Force FBIL: In the NavyI'm thankful for all of them and everyone else who is in or has served in the Military.

FI just enlisted in the Marine Corps this past April. Brother is a 1st Lt. in the Marine Corps and is on his 2nd deployment. I'm so proud of them both.

My grandfather and great uncle both served in WWII. I believe they were both officers of some kind. I wish I could remember more about it.

H was in the ARMY (Infantry)... served in Iraq and just got off IRR in June Sissy is in the ARMY and served one tour in Iraq.

FI- Army. Just got back from Iraq yesterday! He's going to OCS soon. Dad-6 years Air force 20 years Air National Guard Grandpas- one in the Navy WWII, one in the Army Air Corp WWII, and was a POW in Germany. Brother- 3 years Air Force, currently Air National Guard I think all my uncles served in one service or another FI's dad was Army FI's grandad was Army and Air Force several of FI's uncles and cousins are/were in the service and me, coming up on 4 years in the Air Force

H is prior Air Force. And dad was in the Israeli army.

maternal Grandfather- Korean War veteranpaternal Grandfather- career Air ForceCousin-military, in Afghanistan currently.He is special ops, and can't really say much about what he's doing. 2nd deployment, and had to leave just a few weeks after his first child was born.Sidenote- the town I live in is basically kept alive by our air force base, and we have double the number of veterans here than anywhere else in the U.S. Pretty much everyone is are has been in the armed forces.

My Grandad was 13 and the oldest of 6. He became the man of the house and later lied about his age to join the army so he could go to war.

Mom- Army Intelligence -She did a tour in Korea.Mom was on of the first women to go through jump school. She has a lot of great stories.Dad- Army- He did a tour in Korea. He left and work as a civilian in the Pentagon and has done two tours in Iraq and came back safely Grandpa- Army Ranger will not talk anymore about it.DH's Dad- Army served in Vietnam. DH's Brother- Marines training should be going to Afghanistan in 2010.

My dad was a sniper in the Marines during the Vietnam War and then worked for the Admiral at the Pentagon after returning. He was in a helicopter on two different occasions that were shot down and just recently flew in an airplane for the first time since being back in the U.S after his tour ended.

My dad (deceased) served in the Air Force for 22 years.  My husband has been in the military for 33 years.  He is a CMsgt. in the Air National Guard and a veteran of Desert Storm and Iraqi Freedom.  He was awarded the Bronze Star for his service in Iraq.

Dh was in the Marines for 4 years and served during wartime in Bosnia(I think) and did mechanics for the flight line.Fil was a Marine for...35 years I believe before he passed away.Both grandfathers served in the Army in ww21 Cousin served in the Army for 8 years including Korean war.I currently have 2 cousins who have gone through 2 times in Iraq/Afghanistan in the Navy.
