I emailed the event planner at Bubby's to learn they are not taking reservations for 2013 because they are negotiating their lease. I am really sorry to hear this - I loved that space. Any other suggestions for a Dumbo reception venue? Has anyone else heard similar news from Bubby's?

    Wow really?? We live 1 block away from bubby's and are there all the time, haven't heard anything :/ I love that place ! As for other venues in dumbo: we have looked into galapagos art space and rebar, both awesome locations but both a bit too dimly lit for a wedding venue for my personal taste so ended up not choosing either . Good luck

    we just signed our ReBar contract. The place is really nice and different. We wanted to throw a party, not necessarily a wedding and their package worked great for us.
