After I rent the space how much more will it cost?

I know how much it cost to rent a space. But does anyone know how much it will cost for a caterer, setting up, drinks and all that extra stuff? I am looking for a NY wedding next August?

This would be better asked on your local board, costs vary widely by region and are much higher in NYC than in most areas of the country.
This is a neglected planning bio.
This is a belated married bio, with no reviews yet because I'm lazy.

Sometimes I feel like people think that brides are delicate little flower princesses who get all dressed up and pretty for one special moment of their dreams, when really they're just normal people who just happen to be getting married. Things shouldn't have to be sugar-coated for grown-ass women. -mstar284

Check with your venue as well, they might have hosted weddings there before, and can help you with packages!

Her profile is NYC outerboroughs, so this is her board.

The cost for things will always vary; many caterers offer rentals for use as well, so that's helpful in that it's one less vendor to deal with.

Figure out what you want to spend; add about $1000-1500 for rentals (that was what I was quoted for 100 folks, adjust accordingly), and then look for caterers that has the type of food you and FI want to serve and find out about rentals.  My caterer did everything so it was great, but it wasn't cheap - with tax and everything, it was probably at least $150pp.

You will most likely spend more if you are doing everything separately. I think that in NYC depending on what type of place and what kind of food you want it will cost you best case $125/pp (and up) for food and drink only (add another 30% for tax and tip). So I will try and find a caterer or a venue that already has all the extras included. Look for a hotel or a restaurant, a place that already has tables and chairs and will not charge you for them. You should email few places you like and ask them to give you a quote, that way you will get an idea of what an average price is in your area is.
