Ceremony ideas to include children

I have a daughter and my fiance & I really want to include her in our wedding ceremony. Its not only the two of us coming together its is also the 3 of us becoming a family.

I know there is the sand pouring idea... and we plan on giving her a piece of jewelry to symbolize the occasion...

But does anyone have any ideas?

Re: Ceremony ideas to include children

  • i saw an episode of Four Weddings where the bride, the groom, and the child each poured a fish from their own little glass into a bigger bowl.  It was cute, but i'm not sure well it would work out in real life

we are including my daughter in our rose ceremony
  • How old is she?  She could be a flower girl if she's young or your MOH if she's older.
  • My fiance and I are including our daughter by having her be the flower girl. After we state our vows, we're also going to call her up to the altar so we can declare our family vows and give her a symbol of the vows (probably a locket with our pictures or something). I'm even thinking of having her join us for the last part of our 1st dance since she's known to cut in when fiance and I try to dance on any other occasion. Other than those things that's all I got.
