What's happened...

to this board?  Seriously?  Was it the call-outs, they scared everyone away?

Are people gone because it's dead, or is it dead because they're gone?  Chicken or egg?  This place is sucking balls lately.

Re: What's happened...

• :)  I know I've been slammed at work and getting used to my new schedule.  It sucks big monkey balls cuz I miss you ladies.

I don't think it's the call outs - I think it's the juvenile mess that was the banning of Amoro.  People were over the drama and just want to chill for a bit........I'm sure it'll be back to normal some day soon.  We just need more topic starters, I know I'm bad at starting threads for good discussion.
• It's funny, because there are SO many autumn brides.  But maybe that's it.  Nobody's getting engaged...everyone's just getting married at this point.  I'm sure there will be an influx after the holidays.

And yes, I'm both judging and mocking this Nestie.  This is flipping awful- and you should see her recent kitchen renovation.  It looks like a bottle Pepto mixed with Barbie threw up all over it.

• Last week was pretty busy in here, but you're right - today sucks. I took an hour and a half lunch break and came back to no new threads. Ew!
• Oh, and here's the kitchen renovation link; it's not TOO bad until you get to the dining 'nook':

UGH!  Those rooms are HIDEOUS!  Good luck selling that place down the road.  That would scare me away.  And yeah, wow, I like fuchsia but not that much!  I am also not a fan of fuchsia with that light blue.  But I guess she totally nailed the look she was going for.

yes, it is slow lately.  I think everyone is through their planning phase and not too many recent engagements.  Although in the weeks before my wedding I needed lots of support/advice.  Oh well!  all the Xmas/New Year's engagements will be coming up soon!  (scary thought in itself)
• Wait, that's just a theme party, right?  Not a wedding?  If it's just a theme party, while it's over the top, I would think it was fun.  I like theme parties.  Those colors (and especially that dress) are a bit much, but I would go to a party like that.
• I'm enjoying picturing her and her H eating in that dining room.  I imagine her wearing pearls and a pink sweater set, with her little white dog in her lap.  And her husband looking for a window to jump out of, or a way to slip poison into her dainty little teacup.

Who DOES that? That dress is hideous. And hiring a pro photographer for your masquerade ball? She must have too much time and money. And not enough taste.

I don't get how men allow their houses to look like pepto. My friend had a guy-friend who's girlfriend decorated their bedroom all in pink with pictures of kittens and pictures of her shirtless boyfriend. It was WEIRD.

That does look like a life-size doll house.

She also spelled Rococo wrong. And I'm pretty sure she got her "inspiration" from Marie Antoinette Barbie. Not to mention "Rococo" and "suburban 1940s kitchen" don't really have anything to do with each other.

• Agreed.  I was super busy yesterday so I wasn't on at all.  And this morning I had an open house that got me into the office late.

We finally got to see our proofs on the photographer's website, but I can't share any until we get our cd because the website is flash and I can't copy them from there.  I'm very happy with some and disappointed with others, but I guess you get what you pay for and we booked ours so late.  C'est la vie.

• No, Dani, I think you mean no sane people will allow that in their house.  Her kitchen (especially the nook) looks like something my 3 year old neice would come up with.  Hideous.

• No one looks to be enjoying that wedding you posted Kiki.. not at all.

• Oh, Kiki, this is great. I went and read the thread and couldn't believe the positive responses...then I saw page 2. Glad someone in there has some balls. Maybe they can share with her husband.

Oh please, her's husband's not allowed to eat there. Didn't you see the monogram? It's LAUREN'S kitchen. No men allowed.

• I'm sorry, TR :(  We were disappointed with most of our pro-pics, too.  I had to just shrug and say, oh well, at least we got pictures.

• That reno is ridiculous.

Not that it matters, but I left because of the call out site.  Having it taken down doesn't change a darned thing, really.  I come to this board knowing that people I like and interact with actually felt it was not only appropriate but a good idea to send some of that crap in.  So.  Yeah.

• Either her husband is color blind or he's a total doormat.
I'd be embarrassed to have guests over to my house if my kitchen looked like that.
Kiki, my 9 year old daughter would LOVE that house.  It's like Barbie's Dream House writ large.
Posted by ohwhynot
See, even my 9 year old daughter would think that is too much pink. Yikes!

And I haven't been contributing much because work, class, and being mom has been kicking my ass lately. Thank God for a week off from assignments. And right in time for my birthday next week, too.
• And now I'm off to lunch with H.  Who left his wedding band at home so it'll just  look like I'm having lunch with my secret boyfriend :)

• Moose, I really think it was a very tiny minority that sent stuff in to that site.  I may be naive though.

You know, I just looked at the pics of her actual wedding- linked on the side of those masquerade ball pics- it wasn't THAT bad.  But she needs to lay off the rouge.

• That house looks like something you would see in a doll museum or an amusement park or something. Not a real house where sane people live.
Although, if it was a little eccentric old lady, then I could dig it.
• I hear ya, TR. I got a whopping 400 pics and only about 100 of them are worth showing off. I'm so grateful that we had a few good amateurs photographers in the room too.

I'm still in shock over that kitchen. It reminds me of that commercial where the little girl is decorating a race car with kitties and baby seals. And "I love you" on the spoiler.
• Imma rock the boat here, but god it would be so fun to have such bad taste, and to do whatever you wanted. There are far too many people in my life, FI included, that would snap me back to reality so fast if I ever even dreamed of the things that lady has accomplished.

Yeah.  For me it was a combination of so many things.  That site, the whole E vs SB thing that I used to think wasn't real but now I know it is, people that I used to like who I don't like anymore and don't like me anymore, Knot Annie backing other people instead of us and banning regs without even telling me and Squirrly, me telling you guys who created the call-out site and nothing coming of it, SB denying the pretty clear evidence because it was it one of their own, posts that don't interest me enough to respond.  It's all too much.  Some days I open this board, skim the post titles and just close it and do something else instead.  I still love some of you, but it's just not too much fun around here for me anymore.
