[QUOTE]In Response to Re: It's kinda quiet all up in here... : I keep hearing similar things to this. Where in the world did this weird sense of entitlement come from?  And I never thought that people might be trick or treating on Saturday. Oh well...if kids come to my house on Saturday no one will be there to give them anything.

I'm with you on never having heard of this.  I knew that the local strip mall has some morning event they do near Halloween each year where little kids can go store to store to get candy.  But I didn't know towns actually mandated days for regular Halloween trick or treating that were different from October 31st.  It has always been the 31st here!

  • My hometown always does T-o-ting on Halloween evening, unless it's a Sunday, then they do it Saturday.

I'm not sure about the town I live in, we live on a college street, and no one brought their kids last year.  There's a lot of frats and sororities around, so it's not a great area to send kids walking.

Towson Town Center does that too - or at least they used to.  We did it a couple times as kids.

  • I actually didn't know about it!  I just looked up the Harford Mall and see what you mean XD  I'm not a big fan of frozen desserts, but it looks like I'll need to take FI over there to try them out :)

[QUOTE]In Response to Re: It's kinda quiet all up in here... : I heard they have a TCBY there now.  It's enough to make me want to stop in when I'm home for my birthday.

<div>Yes they sure do! I had a smoothie there when I was in the area the other day.</div>

  • I had never heard of a particular night for Trick or Treating until I saw it on the nest the other day.  Weird.  Halloween is Oct. 31st, every single year.

  • I just got home from work and running errands. Now its time to do a few things around the house and start cooking dinner. It is going to take awhile - homemade chicken enchiladas. H loves them.
