Who should I write after "Dear"?

I'm going to my friend's bridal shower tomorrow... and I'm hoping not to mess things up for myself, etiquette-wise

I'm filling out the card now...

I should write Dear, Her AND Him, right?

I mean, the shower is for her, but I'm sure he'll use it, too. Actually, it's cooking stuff so he probably won't use it (he hates cooking), but the intention is that the gift is for both of them, right? So I should fill out the card to both of them, right?

I think 95% of the wedding gifts were addressed to me, and 100% of the thank you's were done by me! Haha. So, I think it could go either way :)

  • Since it's a shower for her, I'd address it to her. But I could be wrong on that.

  • I believe shower gifts are addressed to the bride, wedding gifts are addressed to both.
  • I'd say address it to her-- it's her bridal shower-- if it's a coed shower, then address to both

This. I just had my first bridal shower last weekend and every single card was addressed to me. I'm making FI sign the thank you cards though =)
  • Thank you for your replies!

I addressed the card only to her, figuring the bridal shower was for her and everything.
