Saturday!!

Good morning!!

Finally the weekend. I don't know why I'm excited since it just means I'm back on call for 2 weeks. Love my job though. Have some errands to run this morning, then going work on WR stuff with my sis hopefully. Overall a pretty uneventful day planned. Let's hope it stays that way.

Re: Saturday!!

  • Morning.

Trying to make a message for myself and a friend.  Our SOs gave us a GC for xmas, but I keep getting bumped because I'm an employee.   I think I finally can go today, but need to call my boss's, boss to get 'permission'.  So annoying.  I love DH's thought I would love a massage, but I really wish he picked a different place to get it.

  • Morning, all. Lynda, congrats on moving to NOLA! How is your husband's finger this morning?

<div>it's okay.  The Percs are making him funny.    It's his left index finger,  it's wrapped up with white gauze  and he keeps it pointed up so it looks like he is going around saying he  "I'm Number One"....</div><div>

  • Happy Saturday!

I'm have some errands to run in a few.  Then I have to clean since my FIL is coming to spend the night.  I have to clean anyway, now I'm just pressured to clean now instead of taking my sweet time throughout the weekend. heh

Lynda I missed your post yesterday, but congratulations on finally knowing where you're going!  Hope YH's finger is doing better.

  • I feel icky too, Rosie. But I bet yours is more fun than mine! Did you have a godo time last night?

I'm probably stuck here all day; we're waiting on the satalite man to get here. Might try to find something else to do tonight though. We went to see Water for Elephants last night and I cried like a littlebitch for a long tim after it was over.

  • Good morning ladies!!

I had a bad dream about FI last night and when I woke up in the middle of the night I yelled at him for "cheating on me"....pretty funny stuff. He was confused.

LVB- Did you read the book? I really want to see the movie but I hope I like it as much as I loved the book.

<div>It was wonderful :) We headed home early though because there were terrible storms in the area. I have no idea why I was wide awake at 5 this morning though. I am going to crash really soon.</div><div>

  • No, I didn't get around to reading the book. I'm in the middle of a 7 part series and each book is about 1000 pgs. I can't make myself stop in order to read anything else.

    Rosie, queso?

  • Good Morning!
It's only 7:30 here and I have no idea why I'm awake.  H is still snoring next to me.
I have to work on my thesis today and then I get to go take pictures of my little brother and his gf for prom.  I'm excited.  Her dress is gorgeous!

Lynda- Congrats on NOLA! And I'm jealous of the massage.

  • But how exciting?! You totally get to start over! And it doesn't sound like money or what not is a concern since they're helping you. You have such an amazing opportunity right now! What are you looking for? Downtown, house, condo? I want to search for you lol

<div>it really helps that they move us.  Even so we are not taking much with us.  The stuff we have here is the best of the worst we could get here KWIM?  So we have to buy a bed, dresser, sofa, etc.  Even with a the bonus, it will be a lot to set us up in a place.</div><div>
</div><div>DH wants to live downtown in a high rise.  He is a NYC boy, so the though of living in a condo, with a doorman, walking distance to work and stores, being able to bike etc.  is very appealing.   I can get on board with that.  </div><div>
</div><div>We are not sure what is going to happen with this place.  I want to sell, but it takes a while.  DH wants to rent.  We can easily cover our expenses, so that is not a problem.  We just will not be able to buy for a while.  </div><div>
</div><div>He will be working on Canal Street if you want to use that has a starting point...<span style="font-size:10.8333px;" class="Apple-style-span"><img src="http://cdn.cl9.vanillaforums.com/downloaded/ver1.0/content/scripts/tinymce/plugins/emotions/images/smiley-tongue-out.gif" border="0" alt="Tongue out" title="Tongue out" /></span></div><div>

  • I moved around a lot as a kid. Actually this is the longest I've ever lived in a place.  So I know what it's all about..  My parents are driving me crazy already.. .They are moving PROS..  They have been married 43 years and have moved 16 times (including 3 international moves).  I like the advice and all, but really they need to calm down.

But damn it's hard to find rental condos!

  • They pay for a realtor so that will help.

One of the guys who works there now works at the same property, so he is pointing us in the right direction.

Want to hear something weird... I'm sooo looking forward in buying a bicycle.   Yep... I love to bike, but it's pretty much a death wish to ride one here.  I think I've spent more time looking at bikes than condos...

I'm sad that I'm not in Louisville right now.  :(  I hope I get to meet the Louisville girls next year, same place, same time.  I seriously thought about wearing my big hat to the pig roast, but that seemed a little too passive aggressive.
