F/U Receiving Line

Can you do either/or when it comes to receiving line and table visits? I'm definitely doing the former, and wouldn't mind not having to do both. What's proper ettiquette here?

Re: F/U Receiving Line

  • One or the other is fine, as long as you greet/thank all your guests individually at some point.

  • Either or is fine.  IF you do a line, leave the BP out of it.  It makes the line too long and guests have to wait forever to see you.

What B said.  At my wedding we did do both, but the receiving line was our parents and the two of us.  That's it.

  • One or the other is fine.  We did table visits.
  • We did both, with just us and our parents in the receiving line.
