I miss your face too! I love the first one of them looking out of their crate.

ETA: I meant the second pic. I missed the first one of the kitten in a box.

PS: H says you should get leashes and teach them to walk on leashes around the neighborhood. Somehow that sounds like a bad idea.

Sweet mother, if I didn't have three cats, I'd snatch those ones away from you. ADORABLE.

MK--Mine walk on leashes. Not around the neighborhood, because I don't want the neighborkids to think I'm a witch or something. Just in the backyard or when we go to the vet. They'll cry at the window when we are in the backyard, so we started using a dog tie-out thing the previous owners left behind when we're out there with them.

  • Aw, thanks everybody!  We took them in after my mom found the 3 of them dumped on the Garden State Parkway 2 weeks ago. We took all 3, because we just couldn't bear the thought of splitting them up after they'd been through that together.

The vet told us last week that they couldn't be more than 4/5 weeks old and it's definitely made me a bit of a "plastic bubble mom" with them, because I just keep thinking "If they were at a shelter or a breeder or something, we wouldn't even be allowed to take them home for another month". Nora and Brody weigh around 1.7 lbs, and Charlie only weighed in at 1.0 lb and their little bones are still sticking out.

They're adjusting fine to living with us: eating and drinking well, minimal accidents ... but I just keep thinking that they're so small and frail that one wrong move on our part and they'll end up sick or hurt. I know they're cats, and cats are pretty hard to "mess up" if you're feeding them and keeping the box clean ... but still, they're size really gets to me, and I panic over every little thing right now, lol.

  • Awww, you're a helicopter mom.

I bet they love being spoiled after their rough start.
  • Oh, they are the absolute sweetest things ever. I was definitely worried that there would be some trust issues or something (I have no idea what happened to them before they got dumped-as if that wouldn't be traumatic enough), but they love being held and snuggled-when we're home there's at least one of them in one of our laps at any given moment.

  • OMG, I melt.  They are so cute!

I wish I could take my cats and shrink them back to that size!

Ramona, one of my kitties was found abandoned in a dumpster, and I adopted her when she was 3 months old.  I was afraid that she would have issues since I didn't know how she ended up abandoned, but she turned out to be a cute, cuddly, (and chatty) kitty.  :)

  • They are so adorable!  We just got done raising a litter of 4 little black haired boys at my work, they were only a week old when they were found in a car that was being auctioned off and mom ran off.  They were too little to leave so someone brought them to us.  We bottle fed and tube fed them and they are all little lovers now!  Only 3 more need a home :)
  • they are adorable!!  We are kitty people because I have become incredibly allergic to dogs and my wierdo DH really doesn't care for dogs.  How many guys do you know who are serious cat people?

Surprisingly, DH is a cat person all the way. The night my mom called and said she found them, he had to stop himself several times from just grabbing the phone and saying "WE'LL TAKE THEM!" without even thinking about it, lol.

I was the one that had to be the "bad guy" and say "Okay, we'll see what we can do". Which was hard to do, but really, we did need to discuss it first. Usually, he's the one that's more "expense conscious", and I'm more impulsive, but when it comes to cats, he is the biggest softie. I love that about him.

  • ADORABLE!   Oh they remind me of the last time I had kitties, we had two black and one white with black and orange.  Enjoy the cuteness!
  • Those are the cutest kittens!  I wish so badly that my FI wasn't allergic to cats so we could have some.

  • Those are 3 of the most adorable faces I've ever seen. So precious. I'm a cat person too. We had 2 until a stray that I used to feed went into labor & got one stuck on the way out. We rushed her to the hospital for an emergency c-section (didn't even know they did that for cats) and a few hours later, we had her & her 3 kittens inside. They were only a few hours old. Poor babies were born in the cold rain under a bush. I was a total helicopter mom too, but they're totally fine. They're 4y old now & all 3 live with me now. Love them!
