do most people tip their hair and makeup people if they come to your house and are working solo?  Meaning, they are pocketing all the cash i give them for their services.

I tipped my girl since she did an amazing job.  You're not obligated but I think it's a nice thing to do if they've done a great job.

if she is not splitting the money with a boss tipping isn't really necessary...if you have an extra favor you can give her one as a thank you and definitely send her some pics and a thank you card telling her how great of a job she did so she can show future clients ....

I tipped my hair and makeup person even though she was independant. If you're paying a fortune, that's a different story, but most people I know choose someone more affordable in which case you should tip.
