Tacky, or am I overreacting?

I've only posted here once or twice, but we got a wedding invitation that's been bothering me since we received it.

At the very bottom, there is a line that says "wedding wishing well".  It's of my understanding that this means we're "supposed" to bring a card with money.  Am I wrong?  I've never heard of this before.  I also know that it's considered inappropriate to put any registry or gift related directly on the invitation.

Thoughts?

  • I am the MOB.As far as I always understood a Wishing Well for Bridal shower is usually small gifts like kitchen gadgets or little household gifts. Many times they are not even wrapped. I have seen cleaning products, canned food or chochkie things. If your not clear on what they expect, ask when you rsvp. I never understood it to be a monetary gift. guess I'm a little old schooled! Ask your older female relatives what they believe it was!! Hope this helped! Good luck Smile
